Had big employer not pay several hours out
- - Not paid for hours; 14 months unpaid.
- - Harassment/retaliation alleged; the employer's responses were limited and the DoL was slow.
The big employer I worked for did not pay me for several hours. I was also harassed and retaliated against!
Since it is a large organization, their attorney would only reply occasionally. The Department of Labor was tiptoeing around them given their behavior. They finally replied back after 4-5 months and stated their offer, giving me until the end of the day. Essentially, they ended up telling me to try to get an attorney to work with their attorneys (though I couldn't afford one).
I essentially told them I didn't have an attorney, and I got the cold shoulder; they wouldn't reply back or answer any emails. I'm 14 months into the matter, and still haven't been paid.
It's useless to go against big organizations - don't believe what you hear. These big organizations own these guys and will do as they please.
