Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. paid for the medical claim minus the deductible
Got sick on February 27 - filed claim on February 28 and it is now April 10th and still no resolution. We have had the worst experience with this insurance company.
We bought travel health insurance since we are traveling for a long period of time outside the United States and have no primary health insurance. The company was well aware when we purchased this policy that it was going to be used as a policy to pay for emergency medical care and accidents. Went on a cruise in mid-February and got very ill with flu. Had to be treated on board the boat.
Over $5000 in medical expenses paid out of pocket to the cruise line. I am stuck in a perpetual loop of bureaucracy. Check claim status online as told to do by the customer service rep. Asks for more information, provide the same information several times because it is still asking for it online.
Never receive emails with updates - only an automated email stating they got the documents I submitted. Then I called the call center and was told I was the cause of the claim being delayed because I submitted the same documents (that the online portal said they needed) more than once and when you do that it resets the claim, and it has to be reprocessed? So, I have a nearly $6000 credit card bill coming up I must pay because they have not finished processing my claim. Asked for another number to contact the company and was told this is the only number they have.
Asked for a call back, and they called in the middle of the night and left a very degrading message saying I was being unreasonable, and I needed to give them more time to process the claim. Stay away, take your business elsewhere. We will never use them again.
I honestly feel like they make this so difficult to process a claim so that you will give up, and then they do not have to pay. If you're older like I am then you know the movie Erin Brockovich - totally that plot line.

Difficulty in processing claim
Cruise trip scheduled in August 2022. Days before departure, my husband suffered a heart attack and stroke.
I called the cruise line and cancelled the trip. I have then tried to obtain my refund through the insurance company for a refund for the cancelled trip to no avail. Each call to your company is a new adventure in frustration. I regret to say that generally I have a hard time understanding the representatives when I talk with them.
We have provided the information that you have requested several times, and each time you want something new, or we have to contact someone else. Currently, we are waiting for information from the cruise line to show that we did in fact cancel the trip, and we have not received any refund from them.
We are extremely frustrated, and I believe that all of this is a deliberate part of your company to not pay our claim. Is there anyone in your company that we can talk with who has the authority to resolve this issue ?

I bought LX travel insurance for Isareal trip on May 11, 2019I called to cancel the trip on 5-7-19 morning due to green card expired . I also asked my cousin who bought the ticket for our trip to call Itravel same morning to cancel the trip.
I faxed and email all the required document to IMG on 5-11-2019
The IMG denial the case 6-4-2019
I mails and emailed the appeal to IMG, called and confirmed of received on 6-25-2019
I called IMG many times and resend all the proved documents included the refund money from Itravel and 1 year credit till Feb 2020 from Delta Air and Air Canada ( I did not buy travel insurance for the trip) since I can not travel to Canada on April 2019 due to Green Card expired
It passed 90 days limited for the review of my appeals but I did not received any mail, email decision.
What should I do now?

Patriot Plus Is A Scam
Patriot Plus Travel “insurance” is not really an insurance plan. It’s just a scam to make people feel as though they have coverage when they really don’t.
Everything actually covered under this policy would be provided by an emergency room who could not force you to pay if you did not have the resources. ER’s can not refuse emergency services to people who can not pay. Their only recourse for demanding payment is to turn people into collection agencies and making reports to credit bureaus post treatment. People with travelers insurance are from other countries and do not have USA SS#s and are therefore immune from this type of pressure.
So again, this “insurance” is useless and nothing but services already covered by emergency rooms are included in this policy! We were denied Precertification trying to see a doctor for a sinus infection as well as severe menstral cramps. Lastly, look at the quality of the positive reviews for this company on the internet! Scroll down and actually read them!
They seem mostly fake! As if they are made by employees or bot farms.
Do not waste your money! I want a refund for the unused portion of our 3 month policy!
