Frustrated with IKEA's terrible customer service

I rarely shop at Ikea but I recently purchased a filing cabinet there. When I went to install it I noticed I was missing one of the main pieces of wood. The set is incomplete and can not be used without this part. When I called to get this problem fixed I waited on line for 25 minutes (paying for every minute of this call). I was then told there is nothing they could do to help me. They suggested I come back to the store and speak with the customer service team there. This would require my renting a car, which they would not reimburse. So now I have a half built filing cabinet which is of no use.... what a waste of time and money! How can IKEA get away with this? Don't they have to provide the product they claimed to be selling? Is this even legal??? What a headache! I will NEVER shop there again!!!

IKEA shower curtain leaking

IKEA Switzerland - IKEA shower curtain leaking
If you go to IKEA and buy a shower curtain, then you may be a bit surprised once you start using it... It may leak a bit, or maybe even quite a bit... (see video) What's the point of selling a shower curtain that is not impermeable at all, only IKEA knows... Bought the curtain at an IKEA shop in Switzerland. Online, the curtain isn't available anymore. Maybe some other customers reacted, too...?!? I wrote to Customers Service, but only got an automatical reply back informing me about my right to bring the curtain back. Shall I undertake this travel just for 3 Euro? I bought the same shower curtain 6 months after you posted this in Paris. Why hasn't it been recalled?
