Complaint

The 2 workers who came in were a bit rude, but that does not matter. I told them which furniture needs to be disposed.

One of them said immediatly only one matrass and no two. But I bought a 2 persons bed and a two person matress. Ok in one piece. And these two were 2 one persons matrass.

Technically he was right and it also mentioned in the shop buy 1 bed dispose one bed. But we had already disposed the 2 persons matress because it was dirty. This matress is so much heavier then these 2 one person matresses. So the two matresses were only temporary.

So I understand there are rules.

But from the two persons bed frame we have disposed a lot of wood pieces by ourselves because of the tiny appartment. But I did not hear them complain hey there so much pieces missing. Even the wooden slatted bedbase was for one person. And all the Drawers were missing.

The second thing was the marble table.

They took the steel frame with wheels. But put the marble plate at the side which they wanted to disposal. But then they started to assemble. No communication at all.

So we thought maybe they forget or maybe they take it after assembling. When they were done we said please dont forget to take the table plate. Then they say our company does not accept marble. That makes me so angry, if they informed me before about not accepting the marble table plate then we would said we keep the whole table because we can use this table at the balcony.

But now is useless and a bit heavy. We can not put things anymore of the table because of this stupid handling of your workers. I really regret now that this is happened!!! I am so angry.

I have choose IKEA because this is an European company.

I am also from Europe. But this kind of service is not acceptable. Not communicating at all with the customer. Put the stuff on the ground without checking with us.

They were cleaning up the tools, but I needed to ask where the matress was.

And they were done they dont even say it and did not even say good bye. They were fast.

Maybe within 30 minutes. But because of the throwing out half of the table and the other things made us very upset!!!

So how to solve this?

We bought a sofa in ikea Hongkong for my grandparents , and paid for a delivery , set up and toss the old one service. While they deliver the sofa, the delivery guys complain about the old sofa is too big and we didnt pay for the tossing service, so they wrote on the receipt said "I aggree to give up the new sofa and have a refund since the old sofa is too big to remove. In fact the old sofa is totally able to remove from the front door. Otherwise how did it get in?! My old grandparents dont know what to do, so they signed. They are just bullying the old people! Wtf with this *** up service?

Complete and utter ill logic rule's Ikea - Hong Kong

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I wanted to buy a bookcase from the billy series - the tall single one with a half glass door. When I was talking about assembly service I was told that they will bore *** in my wall to attach the cabinet due to safety reasons - this was not a wall mount shelf. I said that I could not allow that as I live in a rented apartment and the land lord does not allow it, but he was adamant and kept repeating it is safety policy. I tried to talk to another sales person who gave me the same reason, spoke to a manager who came and gave me the same reason all over again. After 1 hour and a suggestion of signing a disclaimer there was no resolution except that I can buy it but I need to assemble it myself. I completely understand that this is due to companies (especially large ones) being *** scared of getting sued but I do not get the logic of covering your *** so much that its ok to make it IMPOSSIBLE for someone to buy. And I do not understand the logic of how Ikea is not worried about my safety if I assemble the product myself? And BTW this is new policy because I bought a bigger bookcase a year ago and there was no issue at all! Completely put off - am a very unhappy ex loyal customer.........
