First off I'd like to say I like what Iconic brings to the market, they have bikes we don't typically get to see or have easy access to. I've purchased one other bike from Iconic and had a good experience.

Recently I purchased a 999 that was, I feel, miss represented by the seller. I don't think the seller was very truthful about the overall condition of the bike and I feel Iconic did a poor job vetting this listing. I take some blame in this because there wasn't the usual detail in the listing, tire dates, fuel tank picture, and the bike looked pretty dirty in the pictures, which should have been a red flag. There were many more blemishes on the bike than what the listing noted, tires were 9 years old, fork seals were leaking, valve covers leaking.

There was an apparent lack of maintenance and upkeep by the previous owner.

Overall very disappointed in Iconic. I moved forward with the purchase because I trusted Iconic and I feel they betrayed my trust by allowing a poor example of bike to be run through their auction site.

Iconic Motorbike Auctions - Poor customer Service. Bad credit process.

Had my valves serviced at Iconic Motorbikes. They damaged the paint on the tank.

I was supposed to get $150 in cash for compensation. When I went to pick it up, cash wasn't ready. We agreed on Paypal payment. Told Lalo I wanted it sent as a gift to avoid the Paypal fee.

They sent the money incorrectly and I had to pay the fee. Tried to have them correct it, but ignored. These guys don't give you the time of day if they're not making money.

You have to constantly call them for followups or you're ignored. Yeah, the fee isn't a lot, but goes to show not every customer is treated the same here.

Loss:
$250
Pros:
  • Nice motorcycles
Cons:
  • Ignore you if you are not someone with deep pockets

Preferred solution: I originally only wanted $150. Now I want $250, the amount to repaint and fix the damage.

User's recommendation: If you're not someone with money, you'll be ignored. They rarely respond promptly. And they don't treat all customers the same way.

I truly and highly back up and support the treatment and customer service. My experiences are over a 3 yr period and over $40k spent. Just atrocious and seedy at best.

I must have left out at least a half dozen derogatory adjectives when I was referring to treatment and customer service. I experienced the 'if they are not making money approach' more times than I can remember and then their stories, excuses and reasoning always supported unprofessional and incredibly selfish behavior. Never ever again.

User's recommendation: If you have money and you're a player, you'll probably be treated right. If you're not part of their program, you'll be ignored.
