Hushmail not worth the money

This is a mini-scam, considering some of the other ways I have seen people loot money out of unsuspecting customers. Even still it is worth mentioning: Hushmail CHARGES MONEY to use services that comes free with free accounts generally. That is: you pay for storage (free accounts come with 2MB, which is not even enough to send one photograph to one person) (any FREE account from any other provider has more storage than a Hushmail PREMIUM account). You pay to use FREE services (such as IMAP and POP access) -- and they WILL NOT provide POP and IMAP support beyond assisting in setting them up. For example, they WILL NOT tell you how to make sure these messages get saved to HD. (capitals used for emphasis only). And they will not tell you how to get the folder messages also to have IMAP or POP access. (That is, the standard IMAP and POP access only set up your inbox -- you have to do something to the account to get the folder messages to show up.) I have read about security breaches as well; but I did not delve deeply enough to say anything about that here.

Loss:
$120
Pros:
  • Customer service responsiveness
Cons:
  • Price
  • Charging money for pop access
  • Charging money for using third-party services
Reason of review:
Bad quality// value of loss is loss of information -- money less of an issue. The cost mentioned below is for three years of service.

Preferred solution: I don't think this product is worth anything at all: a. because its advertised purpose -- encryption of mail -- only works if all recipients also have hushmail accounts; b. Wrong to charge money for use of free online services. Other reasons too.
