Verified ReviewerBow heavy Boat .And the hole family runs to the bow for wind and open felling of freedom.
Needs more ballet in rear to compinsate a way to heavy bow .when you come down from accelerating you will feel your body wanting to be pushed toward.the nose gets real close to the water and the stern comes up 3.5 to 4.25 inches out of water berry uncomfortable feeling .going through a rough canal you have to stay over 4,500 Rpms just to try to keep the bow a little upward.and if you have a boat in front of you going slower and have to slow down .You better tell the hole crew on board to run to the stern of boat .you will take water over the bow and never have your family want to go on the boat anymore. I spent over 7,000 dollars and I did well the work to get this boat and motor set up to finally enjoy this boat .if you do not do all I have done .DO NOT BUY THIS BOAT !!
I am a master tech for 44 years and still am ..And this boat really tested my skills to get safe and rite.do not just fall in love with the glitter ! Do not be fooled !

Verified Reviewer | Hoffman, New Jersey2400 Sun Deck with any outboard Hurricain puts on the back of this boat
My problem as of 7/18/19 when I posted this problem . I will keep all posted to when and if Hurricain does the rite thing and reimburse me for the costs that it cost me to correct there problem !
I even went as far as getting in touchwiz the original owner .the original owner only put 120 hours on boat .when asked if he had any problems when making turns at speeds over 20 mph he said the engine would make a loud noise and he would have to slow way down so would stop cavitating. All same problem !
This set up is wrong for this 2400 Sun Deck with a outboard ! He did not like this boat as well .
Do not purchase a Hurricain Sun Deck 2400 with a outboard engine . This boat should have a 30 inch shaft to achieve the proper location of the cavitation plate to the bottom of this boat !
The boat drives the bow down in the waves verses riding nicely on top of the wave . You cannot use a jack plate to acheive this proper cavitation location ! Hurricain only ships this 25 inch shaft with this model.the boat when trying to trim it up a bit for a better ride it blows out and cavitates rite away.i bought a bay extension housing which makes a 25 inch shaft to 30 inch .now i can raise my engine 3 holes up on transomto achieve the perfect location of were the cavitation plate should be on this boat ! Hurricain only puts a 25 inch shaft on this boat .with the engine all the way down in top hole ,the cavitation plate is located 2.5 inches above the bottom of boat .it cost me 1200 in parts to extend this shaft to correct a problem that Hurricains enginers refuse to correct nor Hurricain boats refuse to send me a extension kit to correct this real problem !
Shame on Hurrican boats . i have spent over 3000 to correct a problem that this manufacture should be responsible for . This boat in calm bay waters or fla inside waters only would be fine .this is due to calmer waters there for the cavitation plate never gets exosed to air ,and no cavitation problems ! The problem is more people are buying this boat now on the east coast were the waters are a little rougher .this is were you will have a major problem!
Your family all goes to the front to ride bow goes down and you cannot trim this boat enough to get the bow up without major blow out or cavitation ! So all get real wet and cannot go faster .Do not U mean Do not buy this boat for a rough bar area or be prepared to do exactly what i did to make this boat a correct setup for our waters! Hurricain boats will sweet talk you only!
They are just protecting there wallets only! Yes i am very tech savy and a have over 50 years of exp and want to share this problem with all !do not buy this boat unless they install a 30 inch shaft engine !
Preferred solution: Full refund
