I received an apology since this incident. All other encounters that I had with them were positive.

Original review Aug 02, 2023
Im extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this hospital. The doctors lie to mental health patients and treat them like second class citizens.

Furthermore, there are HIPPA violations left and right. I was denied my right to speak to a patients rights advocate and had my medications meddled with without my consent. My mind was in absolute shambles and I was held against my will. They go by their own rules and make things up as they go.

90% of those people are uneducated and inadequate. The ultimate issue that really bothered me was the fact that the doctor had the nerve to ask me if I had done anything illegal before discharging me. This was extremely frustrating as I have never had so much as a parking ticket. They deliberately fail to introduce themselves because they dont want you to complain about them.

They refer to human rights as privileges and since they have declined to address my concerns, despite multiple requests, Im filing a complaint against this establishment.

Since everyone here thinks its all fun and games, thats my only option. Having mental health issues is not a crime and they should strive to do better.

Preferred solution: Apology

User's recommendation: Don’t go here. You’ll likely regret it.

Poor care and misconduct by medical personnel

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - -Chastised about mental health history in front of others.
  • - Nose exam from distance with lights off found nothing; ENT later suggested nasal cancer.

I went to Huntsville Hospital about 2 years ago to find out what was going on with my nasal cavity. Instead, I was loudly chastised about my mental health history in front of other patients and staff.

When I finally saw the doctor he looked up my nose from a distance with his light turned off. He said that he couldnt see anything there. I got a second opinion from an ENT who confirmed my suspicion that I had Cancer of the

nasal cavity.

Incompetent and judgmental treatment from this facility whether or not you have insurance, you get overcharged for inadequate care. Im not impressed with the horseplay and gossip either.

User's recommendation: Don’t go here for any reason

AI Highlights
  • - The reviewer criticizes the CEO's comments about unvaccinated ICU patients.
  • - They criticize pay cuts, longer hours, and staffing shortages.
Huntsville Hospital - CEO Jeff Samz

The CEO of Huntsville Hospital Jeff Samz should be ashamed of his political and hateful comments about people taking up a bed in their ICU who chose not to get vaccinated. Maybe if Huntsville Hospital paid their staff better instead of cutting their hours and hiring enough people to keep up with their workload then they wouldnt have bottom of the line nurses and more lives would be saved.

Jeff Samz is living large with his arrogance while people working below him do their best to get by. Everyone suffers from inflation except the big dogs with insider knowledge who are 10 steps ahead of the rest of us.

User's recommendation: This is the most incompetent Hospital in Alabama. You should go anywhere except here.

Huntsville Hospital is about as incompetent as the Huntsville Police Department. The medical personnel and cops frequently gossip and laugh about life or death matters.
