Hunt Nation

Would like to give anyone out there a warning if they are thinking of booking with hunt nation. They use unreliable guides, untruthful guides.

My son and I booked a hunt with them last year on Kodiak Island. Just about everything they told us was untruthful. Where we would hunt, how we were to hunt, just about everything that was where. He took us to his old bear hunting camp that was 7 miles from the nearest Billy goat.

He knew this when we flew in. There were about 7 or 8 nanny goats on the island that we saw when flying in on the plane. Hunt nation used this guide and had problems with him before. My son and I along with 2 other hunters went with him and only had 1 kill.

So I would warn you about booking a hunt with Hunt Nation. They will be untruthful with you about how and where you will be hunting. When we had gotten there, everything the guide told us was untruthful. We had talked to him many times on the phone, and he told us how and where we would be hunting but once we arrived, nothing was true he had told us.

When we got there, there wasn't any place to even put the camp up. He just sat it down in the middle of the bush because it was his old bear camp. We were to be about 15 miles over on another lake where we counted about 35 goats over there on those mountains. But we never got to hunt.

So just to let you know, don't believe Hunt Nation. The guides they used was untruthful, nasty dirty. When he cooked it turned our stomachs because he doesn't wash his hands before cooking, the food pots he would leave sit out all night and use the next day. Hunt Nation has used this guide and has had other complaints about him.

So I would think about not using them.

I wish I could tell you the whole story about how Hunt Nation described our hunt was to be and how it was in reality. Don't trust Hunt Nation they are unreliable.
