Unreasonable associate Denise feelix.

AI Highlights
  • - Vehicle was in my wife's name for credit and repossessed after divorce.
  • - Divorce papers say it's mine; a power of attorney released it to my lender.

My vehicle was in my wifes name solely for credit reasons. Well during our divorce she didnt pay the bill so ultimately truck was repossessed, Im.

Or mad at that one bit. The fact that even in my divorce paperwork it says the vehicle is mine. While trying to our Hoyte vehicle Denise feelix was impossible saying that it had to be Victoria who bought it and she would release it. Victoria had signed a power of attorney releasing the vehicle to my new lender upon full payment to current lender.

Also all of my property I estimate at 4k that was in the vehicle when I was wrongfully arrested due to my wife. But this was easy as 123. Everyone could walk away a winner. No repo for Victoria , I get my truck.

, Hughs gets all the money owed. Why can we all just get along and do the right thing bye each other.

To make people aware

AI Highlights
  • - Hard to reach via the listed phone; long waits.
  • - The staff are arrogant when spoken to.
  • - I will close my account and transfer money.

It is nearly impossible to reach anyone via the only phone number that is listed on their site.

I have spent countless hours (that I will never get back) waiting for service. And when you do speak to a human, you are typically met with arrogance.

I will close my account, transfer my money and not look back.

BEWARE!!!

Pros:
  • Good rate
Cons:
  • Terrible service

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution

User's recommendation: Stay away!

Performed a credit inquiry, on me without my consent, or knowledge.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Quick search for a personal loan; checked rates and fees.
  • - No application submitted; Experian inquiry stays on record for two years.
Updated by user Aug 07, 2021

Hughes has never attempted to contact me, regarding this issue. I contested this inquiry with Experian (only agency recording the inquiry) After the investigation by Experian ( for all the good it did me) Hughes admitted doing the inquiry for a 3rd party..

So even though it was done, behind closed doors, in the shadows...it will stay on my credit report with Experian for 2 years. So I am still pissed, and left to hang out to dry..

Original review Jul 08, 2021

I did a random search for a personal loan, checking available rates, and fees. I did a 2-minute search of this banks' site, and moved on.

I did not fill out any application form whatsoever.

They made a credit inquiry at Experian about me. Now this stays on my record for 2 more years !

I had no intention of doing business with them. Shady business practice if you ask me.

Cons:
  • Unauthorized credit checks
  • Harmful practices

Preferred solution: That Hughes FCU contact Experian and withdraw their inquiry, due to the fact, we were never attempting to do business with them. Their inquiry should be removed from Experian system.

User's recommendation: Avoid, lingering on their online site if at all possible.

Put it in writing to the credit union and reporting agencies to have it removed.

Hughes Federal Credit Union Ripped Me Off!

AI Highlights
  • - $50 inactive dormant fee charged without consent.
  • - Only $30 of the $50 was refunded after contact.
  • - Ads claim no minimum balance and no fees.
Hughes Federal Credit Union Ripped Me Off!

Account had $50 taken out for "INACTIVE DORMANT FEE" Without my knowledge or consent. I have been with this bank for over 10yr & never had this happen Account had $50 taken out for "INACTIVE DORMANT FEE" Without my knowledge or consent.

I have been with this bank for over 10yr & never had this happen. This is very bad business practice. I called this bank, requested a full refund of said "INACTIVE DORMANT FEE", and was only given $30 of the $50 back. While on hold for this bank I continue to receive commercials about no minimum balance, no fees checking.....yet I had $50 taken out of my account for fees?

What gives? This bank is untrustworthy with customer monies.

Laws in most states require them to keep accounts current (a $5 deposit a year usually does the trick). Luckily you saw it - rather than them closing the account and sending it to the state where it will take you forever to get it back.

Suspected Fraudulent Collusion: La Mesa RV and Hughes Federal Credit Union

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Trailer financed by Hughes FCU via La Mesa RV for primary domicile.
  • - Reviewer alleges collusion, fraud, and a threatening manager.

We bought a travel trailer from La Mesa RV in Phoenix and they chose Hughes Federal Credit Union to finance it for us. We made it very clear that the trailer would be our PRIMARY DOMICILE. Recently, needing to refinance due to medical debts we were informed by Hughes Federal Credit union that IF they had known we were using the trailer as a primary domicile, they would NOT have given us the loan at all.

We contest that LaMesa RV and the Credit Union collude with each other to make fraudulent sales and financing deals which later cripple the buyer if circumstances change, from getting the monthly payments lowered.

We called and spoke with the manager of La Mesa on McDowell St. in Phoenix and he was rude, callous and threatened to take the trailer and leave us homeless if we made any trouble. I strongly suggest no one have ANY dealings with La Mesa RV or ANY of their financiers.

Loss:
$10000
Cons:
  • Dishonesty about product and financing prohibitions

Preferred solution: Price reduction
