I am now having issues with my 2016 Jeep Cherokee that I bought last year from Taylor Jeep in Athens, Ohio. The jeep only had 12,000 miles on it when I purchased was told it was a leases turn in.
When asked if it was still under manufacturer warranty, which i assumed it was due to the mileage, they said yes, 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper.
Having issues with the stop/start service. It will now completely power off, which forces me to put it in Park and restart it myself!! Was very speratic at first now it is happening more often (even when I shut the start/stop function off) and it happened this morning on my way to work in the middle of an intersection and scared me to death!!
Took it in to my local Jeep dealer and was told that my warranty is a Canadian Warranty and not valid in the USA???? None of this was disclosed to me by the dealer at time of purchase!!
I have contacted them but yet to hear back from anyone on what my options are.
I am paying $400 for a vehicle that i am afraid to drive. Can someone please advise on what I can do about this??
