Avoid This Place at All Costs - Unprofessional, Disorganized, and Disrespectful Management
Usually, I never leave reviews--especially negative ones. But this time, I feel obligated to share my experience to prevent others from going through the same frustration, stress, waste of money, and complete disrespect I endured at this shop.
I had the misfortune of bending a rim and taking it to Houston wheel repair, where I dropped it off with Marcus, one of the shop managers.
He inspected the wheel, charged me $160, and promised it would be repaired the next day. They allegedly worked on it all day, and I picked it up, assuming the issue was resolved.
However, after a few days of driving, I noticed strong vibrations. Thinking it was an alignment issue, I spent additional money at another shop--only to find out the problem was with the rim they failed to fix properly.
I returned to Houston wheel repair and explained the situation. Instead of acknowledging the issue, I was met with excuses and deflection.
I had to insist on leaving the rim again. Shockingly, they admitted they never checked the interior side of the rim--an obvious part of the inspection process. This kind of oversight is unacceptable for a shop that claims to be professional.
I arrived at 11:00 a.m., and we agreed the rim would be ready by 4:00 p.m. But when I came back at 7:00 p.m.--they hadn't even touched it.
No apology, no explanation. Manager Marc was incredibly rude and dismissive, as if he were doing me a favor--not providing a service I was paying for. He refused to acknowledge their mistake and acted like it was no big deal. The complete lack of accountability and professionalism was outrageous.
Then came Henry--another "manager" who was even worse.
Arrogant, aggressive, and clearly unfit for any customer-facing role. Instead of resolving the issue, he told me to move my car and refused to complete the job. They simply left the work unfinished--no resolution, no apology, nothing.
It's baffling how a business with such poor customer service, complete disorganization, and managers like Mark and Henry is still open. During my visits, I even overheard employees complaining about how things are run, which says a lot.
On top of the terrible service, the shop itself is filthy.
I noticed several health and safety hazards--cluttered floors, no proper safety gear, and at one point, an untrained employee almost installed my spare tire the wrong way. I had to stop him myself.
If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from this shop.
There are plenty of places in Houston with competent staff, clean facilities, and actual respect for their customers. Houston wheel repair is not one of them.
- And disrespectful management
- No experience
- Poor customer service
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Avoid This Place at All Costs
Very dishonest business
Houston Wheel Repair damaged my gas tank so badly. I had to have my truck towed to another shop.
It cost me $900 to have my gas tank replaced.
They wouldn't admit to the damage. I will be taking them to small claims court.
User's recommendation: Do not take your car there .
They legally stole my Audi Wheels
IF YOU HAVE EXPENSIVE FACTORY RIMS, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM LEGALLY STOLEN. Want me to explain....?
Here's what happened, I took my wheels here to be simply refinished or repainted, yes they are two toned which means a color & a machined finish. The owner is a con man & a blue collared criminal using the law to his advantage. They basically destroyed my $1400 each wheels, then wanted me to pay the original price I was quoted, when I refused to pay for this utterly horrible work, I was told that I would not get my wheels unless I paid full price for their trashy work. The owner then basically used the law to his advantage to keep my wheels from me & did not even attempt to say ok since your not satisfied let's talk come to a fair price for me to pay.
So, to avoid going to jail for getting into a fight OR WORSE over my wheels, I will not be returning or paying for my wheels he can have em. Hince, this is how he "legally stole my wheels". Do yourself a favor... This place is NOT fixing wheels properly or even decently, the videos and pics are FALSE, they are NOT providing that kind of quality work.
They may have in the past but not now. My wheels had poor tape lines, bleeding edges, rough tape line edges a semi gloss finish when it was supposed to be glossy. Take your rims to ANY PLACE ELSE. The owner is a crook, criminal, con artist & a liar.
Please don't mistake this as a mad customer review, this is a 100% honest review of what happened to me.
You've been warned. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!
