Question about portable umbrella dryer
I bought the Household Essentials Portable Umbrella Drying Rack in 2011. I have been satisfied up until recently when the upper pole got damaged in a fall making assembly and opening difficult.
So I ordered a new one from Amazon which I assembled July 20, 2023.
It was very challenging to get the top pole onto the bottom pole. Finally I did and began to hang laundry. But then I was stunned to see that the top clothesline on one of the sides was combined into the the row beneath! This in effect eliminated one whole, long line to hang laundry.
It seems that you now use ONE CONTINUOUS clothesline from bottom to top.
In the one I purchased in 2011, each level of clothesline was discrete, that is, independent and not connected to the next level. So when one line broke, all I had to do was replace that one level, not have to take all 64 feet of the line out and replace it.
Between the difficulty of assembling the two poles and losing a whole length of clothesline availability, I repacked the dryer and returned it for a refund.
I am very disappointed in your product as it is now. I used the 2011 one all year round. In the winter I dried all my laundry on in it indoors.
I am writing to you now to ask if you have any of the old model in stock, that is, with each oof the six levels of clothesline separate and independent from adjacent levels.
If so, I am very interested in buying one.
(I am also wondering if the one I just got had been used. The metal parts were scratched all over.)
