Disappointed

This is at the Cypress location.

My wife and I went for breakfast Easter Sunday, the food was not served as asked.

We brought some "small pies" to take home, so far only tried the pecan pie, it should be called corn syrup pie because of the lack of nuts. Kirby location much better.

Won't do Cypress again.

My gift card was not accepted.

I attempted to use a gift card for a pie purchase on 6/24/22 at the LA store on Vermont Ave. I was told by the manager that my gift card had expired and that they only last for 6 months.

I explained to her that there is no expiration date on the card and the state of California does not allow business to put limits on gift card use. (My gift card was purchased on 10/6/2020 and I have the receipt to prove it.) She said she didn't care and gave me a number to call (323-668-****). No one answers this phone, and you cannot leave a message.

This manager is notorious for being rude, dismissive and unhelpful. I would like my $25 gift card reinstated.

You have managers Who do not know how to resolve the situation with customers that are very loud and wont let other customers eat with comfort and ease when your manager doesnt know how to walk up to those people and say could you bring it down a few notches there are other people in the restaurant they would like to eat without thinking youre in a bar we were in there Wednesday, 11 May at 11 oclock at night and I swear I was in a bar as loud as the manager let those people be and they were already finished eating so she shouldve just went over there and said would you kindly please lower your laughing and hollering and carrying on her response to me was it you offer a service well the service also means that if you have other customers that want to eat in peace and quiet that you can tell those other customers to bring it down Please spend anywhere between $40-$50 for just two of us to go in there to eat

House Of Pies - Poor quality

I am 73 years old and spent almost $30.00 on a carrot cake for a birthday cake for one of my granddaughters. Over half of it sits in the frig.

It was dry and tasteless. The half remain because I served the other half which people disposed of. Very poor quality.

Very disappointed,thought I was going above and beyond,would have been better with a box mic! Dont get the carrot cake!

Check your to go before you go...

I was very disappointed tonight when I got home with the slice of Blueberry Pie I thought I'd ordered and it had turned into a cherry pie. I go up there 4-5 times a year, always for blueberry pie.

Now, I will have to ask the waitress to pull it out of the bag and open up the container for my inspection.

This is the kind of thing you expect from McDonalds. And now, I have come to expect it from House of Pies, as well.

The cherry pie is good as it turns out but I'm miffed; the waitress took my money first then left and came back with my pie...I had to wonder if they had no blueberry pie and were simply trying to pass the cherry pie off as blueberry pie.

Bug In My Food

Tonight seemed like a good night to go and grab a nice meal and sweet potato pie from House Of Pies on 3112 Kirby Dr. What was supposed to be a meal break for french toast turned out to be a ZOO! I FOUND A BUG IN MY FOOD, and once I showed the bug to the bus boy, he grabbed a red haired waitress, and she grabbed the manager to help report the incident. The manager was extremely unprofessional, ignorant, NONCHALANT, and rude!!!! He called me a liar and after literally blocking the front door and holding me hostage in the restaurant, he followed me outside TO HARASS AND curse me out!!! He told me he was gonna take down my license plates number and continued to make threats and follow me outside almost into another parking lot! He called me names and refused to accommodate a long time customer after I was sick to my stomach with the fact that there was an insect in my food and his behavior!!! I have been a customer for a few years and I USED to enjoy the once upon a time friendly service and most of all the pies but all that changed for me tonight!!!! I have never been so disrespected by restaurant management ever!!!! When I asked for the balding, caucasian, feminine figured, Obese manager’s name, He told me that it was none of my business! I then told him that I wanted his manager’s name and he told me that he was his manager and even went so far as to tell me that he owned House Of Pies!!! When I asked the other manager, which was an african american 40 something year old, short curly haired woman, she had a foul attitude and rudely told me that the disgusting, lying manager’s name is CHUCK!!! I’m disgusted with how I was treated and I’ll be sure to let everyone know NOT TO GO THERE!!!!! I already know that this abusive disgusting manager would never have followed a man outside and curse him out the way he cursed at me!!!
