I booked a hotel through Expedia and they got the dates wrong and it ended up costing us double for a room. Because there were other big events happening that same period of time. That's why I booked a month in advance. The Customer service people don't speak very good English and even though they booked my hotel stay on the wrong dates they made no attempt to make it right it was like they didn't even care that they ruined plans. already written but here it goes again I wanted to change my reservation from 12/7-12/9 to 12/8-12/10 bought insurance lady said good idea and for $10.00 I thought it was.called hotel to change dates they said I had to call hotwire called hotwire they said I had to call Allianz all of the calls involved transferring and long holds.bottom line the insurance was only good for a medical emergency which I was not told when I bought it.i will... I stayed at this hotel and after my tv would not work from the start and the a/c was very bad I decided to leave 1 day early be careful in fine print they will ask you for 400.00 deposit witch they will say they don't pay back for 2 1/2 months. when I went to get my money back they said I smoked in the room and stayed over my time this is a lie I don't smoke it's a planned out rip off run away from this hotel. As a customer, I was stolen from (over charged) and then lied to by Hotels.com. In a nutshell: I was overcharged for a hotel stay, promised a refund to match Priceline.com's quote, NEVER issued the refund, told there was no record of the refund, misquoted for accepting a $40 voucher "instead of the refund," and then Hotels.com refused to listen to the recording of a phone conversation when I was promised the refund. Booked hotel rooms through hotels.com. Got to the hotel and they had no record of it whatsoever but the hotel gladly booked us that evening. When I got my credit card statement I was charged by hotels.com and by the hotel. I phoned hotels.com and they put me on a fake hold while they pretended to call the hotel and said they wouldn't refund our money as the hotel (in hotels.com lie) "gave us 5 rooms". I WILL NEVER, EVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN. Read more

I had a bad experience with Hotels.com on a foreign vacation. I booked 2 rooms in a foreign city, and was given the option to pay a 50% deposit on both rooms. When I was checking out of the hotel I discovered that neither deposit had been made. I had to pay full price there at check out. Booked a room in Jackson, Tennessee then needed to change the date. They charged me twice and won't reverse it. I finally got to talk with someone on the phone and couldn't understand a word she was saying. This really stinks. Do not use Hotels.com. They have some very questionable business practices. Awful Customer Service! I ended up with (1) no credit on Hotels.com for 3 nights in a posh hotel because (2) I was foolish enough to book a "package" when I could have found a cheaper flight without hotels.com and (3) I did not receive confirmation of my flight within 24 hours of departure, so I called hotels.com customer service.
