When booking reservations online, be sure you are actually reserving directly with the hotel you have in-mind. These 3rd party sites show up and mask as if it were the actual site. Nothing wrong as long as you're aware of the added FEE's.

HOTELMODE.COM are scam artist, they steal your money

HotelMode.Com is a SCAM! They will take your reservation and book it with the hotel to keep up the appearance of a reservation. Then on the last day to cancel the reservation w/out penalty, they will cancel reservaton directly with the hotel and keep your money. Leaving you empty handed in regards to a room when you arrive. Then when you try to contact them to get a refund, they will avoid your phone calls, emails, or any communication from you. DO NOT book with HOTELMODE.COM, you are waisting your time and will regret ever booking with them.

RIPPED OFF BY HOTELMODE

Our story is the same as others! We are out $1400.00 because we booked and paid in advance for a stay in Fla. on labor Day weekend. We arrived to find out that our reservation also had been cancelled three days prior, and supposedly thru hotelbeds.com!! What?? who are they!???? The hotel was sympathetic though they could not help with the money situation! Lesson to be learned here is never book thru a third party. We were able to get a room there, luckily, and for about the same price. At this time my AMEX is doing an investigation and perhaps i may not be accountable for the fraud , i hope it is rectified:( if not, I am out $1400.00. I am hoping that criminal charges are brought against these robbers!!!!!!!

Canceled My Reservation without Prior Notification and Won't Pay me Back

On January 16th, 2014 we made a hotel reservation with hotelmode.com. The reservation was for the Paris hotel in Las Vegas, NV. The reservation was for a stay scheduled from May 5th to May 9th, 2014. I called the hotel to confirm the reservation prior to our arrival. When I arrived at the hotel I was told that the reservation had been canceled. When I asked why the hotel could not tell me why but they recommended that I contact hotelmode.com directly because that's where I made the reservation. I called several times a day and spoke to multiple people including Sophia and Suzanne both of which told me that I need to speak to the owner / manager Jennifer. Never once had hotelmode.com initiated a phone call with me - they never returned my calls and I had to chase them throughout my stay while attending a conference. The Paris hotel let us stay there but at regular rack rates which were significantly higher. Eventually I spoke to Jennifer about this (took 3-4 days to get a hold of her). She promised me that she will refund the money we paid ($604.12) via a reverse credit card transaction and send us a check for the difference we paid to the hotel in the sum of $323.24. She said that she would mail that check to us - it's been over 2 weeks and we have yet to receive the check. I keep on calling on a daily basis - if someone does pick up the phone they are rude and basically nobody calls me back including Jennifer - I have not heard from her since. I have an email from her which was written on May 9th, 2014 saying that she would send us the check for $323.24. This is not how a professional travel agency should handle itself. Not returning phone calls, not taking care of its customers, not committing to its obligations and so forth - just a terrible experience overall!!!

Reservation cancelled by HOTELMODE 4 days prior to arrival!

Made reservation for Fontainebleau Hotel Miami Beach back in May 2014 for a July 12th stay (1 night). It was a birthday gift to my daughter who was turning 21...!!! OMG...she was sooooooo excited....!!!! I even printed the reservation on a decorated paper with balloons and party hats...the whole nine yards...So imagine how sad she was when she got to the hotel with her friends and tried to check in...I PANICKED...!!!! I was so upset...called this "HOTELMODE" people but I guess they are making enough money with their scam that they can afford not to work on weekends (or any other day for that matter...as I am still trying to contact them but all I get is..."We love hotels but we love our customers more"...year right....!!!!). If they are reading this, I really do not want a call back as long as they refund me my money...$435.85 may not seen like a lot to them but, I am a single mother who earns only $10.00/hr so this was really a big effort to make my daughter's 21st bday a memorable one. I sure hope that there is at least a little tiny tiny bit of good in these people and they have the heart to do the right thing. Like I said, I do not need to speak to anybody at HOTELMODE (even though I would like them to know who I feel...) all I want is a refund to my credit card and we will not hear from each other never again. So, HOTELMODE, if by any chance you are reading this, do the right thing...!!! Refund my money....!

Hotelmode has over $4000 of my money. They emailed the Ritz Carlton in San Fran and cancelled my reservations 2 days before my arrival.

Thank goodness the Ritz figured it out!!

I was emailing with John from hotelmode the day before about ANOTHER reservation and now they will not answer the phone or return an email

BUYER BEWARE!!

At this time, Hotelmode has almost $7000 of my money and i have zero reservations . this is a disaster!

Cancelled My Wedding Night

When I was searching for a room for my wedding night back in March 2014, I came across this HotelMode website. What was going to cost me close to $1000 for two nights at the Shangri-La Vancouver, only cost $650 through HotelMode. I did a basic search of the company reviews and they seemed mostly positive. When I emailed the company a guy called me right away to confirm what I was looking for. I booked two nights through HotelMode. They sent me a confirmation email, and they even took my call on another occasion when I had a question. I confirmed with the hotel that my reservation was booked. One day before We were suppose to check in, I called to re-confirm, and they told me that my "travel agent" had cancelled my reservation without any further notice or detail. To top it off the hotel was completely sold out. I tried calling and emailing HotelMode, but they conveniently avoided my contact. I had been scammed, They stole my $650, and left my bride and I without a hotel room for our wedding. This group of *** should be rounded up and thrown in jail. BEWARE of the HotelMode RIPOFF.

Yes my reservation was also cancelled and rebooked for 2 instead of 3 ppl. We needed to book another room to accommodate 3 of us (we paid for 3ppl.) When I contacted hotel mode they told me they would reimburse us.

We never received our credit and they will no longer return our call. The number also has been disconnected.

Review about Unapproved Reservation Cancellation from Stuart, Nebraska

My reservation for the shore hotel in Santa Monica was cancelled by them the week before I arrived. I had prepaid the entire amount. All attempts to contact them (over 50) by phone and email were unsuccessful. There is no direct way to contact them as you CAN ONLY leave a message. I paid them over $1800. Complete scam!

I verified my reservation with The Breakers in Palm Beach prior to our arrival .Three days before we arrived after my verification Hotel Mode called and cancelled our reservation. When we got to the Breakers we not only had to pay a second time , but the Breakers charged us more for the same accomodations. It definitely put a damper on our vacation for sure. Of course, we left a million messages with no response. I just decided to go on the website. I will be contacting The Better Business Bureau and see what happens. Marlene Singleton

We booked a week in BC months ago with "John" at Hotelmode.com. Two nice hotels.

We called and confirmed all was in order a few weeks ago and hotels confirmed. Just arrived at the first hotel after 7 hours of travel. Guess what? Hotelmode cancelled both our reservations recently.

We'll be calling NYPD to report this fraud as we're out US$1500+. Did I mention it's our anniversary?

Hotelmode cancelled our reservation

Three days prior to leaving for Las Vegas I discovered my hotel reservations were cancelled by Hotelmode for our stay at Vdara. Two suites for four nights prepaid at almost $1700. I re-booked the rooms directly with Vdara and paid once again. I Attempted to contact Hotelmode and nobody answered phones. Hotelmode books through Bonotel Las Vegas which is a wholesale room company. I opened a dispute with my credit card company which could take 3-6 months for possible resolution. Research indicates that Hotelmode is now out of business. As a backup I contacted the Better Business Bureau of New York and opened a complaint. Within 24 hours they had managed to contact Hotelmode and obtained a commitment from them to credit back the amount paid to my credit card. They advised it would take 3-5 business days to appear on my account. Five business days after contacting the BBB i received my refund. For everyone else out there who have experienced the same situation I recommend opening a complaint with the BBB New York at the following website; http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/

HotelMode cancelled reservation

I booked a hotel through hotelMode for May 28 through June 1st. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told my reservation was cancelled via HotelMode! It came as quite a shock to me considering I had already paid 1149 to HotelMode and did not receive an notification that my room had been cancelled! It has been over two weeks since this happen and I still can't seem to get this resolved! My boyfriend and I have called several times and have written multiple emails regarding this issue and have been getting the run around...my boyfriend talked to Jennifer and she said she would do a reverse transaction 2 weeks ago and called back again days and she made it sound like they had the wrong numbers to my credit card! It is beyond frustrating to deal with this company, I have tried to reach them and their phone goes straight to a recording! This is not a way to do business and for the future I will never book through this company again!

They are a big fake and is out scamming people out of money they are not real,Don't book from this place please

I will make it simple they stole my money and you can contact them at all they want to talk by email, the only way you will talk to somebody if you booking a room and leaving your name and number and I tried lying by saying my name was so and so and I still having got a call back from these scammers. They owe me and my family 2,748.23 and I need my money but they want to redirect you back to they site where it say you willnt get your money back you will have a credit with them. Well we also call the hotel that was suppose to be book for us for the forth of July 2014 and they tell us they don't have a room in my name at all showing I even booked a room with them and the man kept asking me is your sure this wasn't a scam and I said if it was why are they using y'all to book rooms he said it's nothing we can do about people scamming people that's why we refer everybody to go through what ever hotel you like to stay at to make sure this don't happen and you don't have to deal with third-party people,You will only deal with that hotel only. He said I an sorry but I can try to help you if you still want to come since it sound like you got scammed using hotelmode.com! They wanting to give me 40% off my stay but I had just lost that much money and I couldn't afford To booked with them because if the amout of money HOTELMODE stole from me and my family. I am praying that my bank give me my money back if not this is heart breaking I never went through this with somebody stealing money from me and telling me it's nothing they will do.
