Verified ReviewerLong time waiting for support
Dear Sir,
I am working with Hostmonster for more than 17 years ago. I have never had a problem with my accounts.
lately I had a problem accessing my Cpanel as it keeps showing your panel is deactivated due to chargeback. However, I have never made a chargeback. Now my control panel is deactivated for more than 7 days which caused a huge damage for my business.
every time I go to the chat support they promise that the problem will be solved within 24 hours, but nothing happens. I have lost some of my clients and my business.
I hope you can assist me out of this situation.
My domain name is (estste.net) .
Best Regards
Waleed Elkassar

Verified Reviewer |Cannot access c-panel; cannot access website; cannot send or receive email.
since january 2023, I have not had full access, 24/7 to my c-panel, email, or website. the reason is.
because hostmonster has blacklisted my ip (72.208.239.51). I have called the support number sixteen times and the latest call is 19 april 2023 at 1517 hours and after 29 minutes, I am still waiting to speak with someone who may actually be competent and capable of fixing the issue. I currently am waiting for BEV to return to the line. She has lied to me four times during this conversation.
call me or email me and I will happy share the details. at present I am still waiting for someone to come on the line. by the way, supposedly hostmonster opened a ticket. the ticket number 5218****.
however, not a single hostmonster support person has acknowledged the ticket number or can speak on the status of the ticket. I am beginning to think that hostmonster is simply harassing me. I know for certain hostmonster has not provided the service i contracted with hostmonster to provide.
is there anyone in provo competent to resolve this issue? regards, jw west

Verified Reviewer |World's WORST Customer Support!
We've had several domains with Bluehost/Hostmonster for 14 years. When Hostmonster and Bluehost were bought out by Endurance Group, hosting quality, and more importantly customer service, went into the toilet.
Before the buy-out, when we called Hostmonster for support, someone in America answered.
Now .. it's 100% in the Philippines. Call intelligibility varies widely, usually toward "poor". I've been put on hold for up to three hours at a time while someone tries to "fix" the problem.
We've got e-mail code on four of our domains for sending e-mail to us from the website.
Three domains work perfectly. E-mail sent from #4 does not work. When this first happened, I contacted customer support. I was on hold for about 10 minutes, waiting.
The young man who eventually took my call looked at their server settings for this domain and said, "The SPF records on their end were misconfigured", and he said he fixed them. He did. E-mail from this domain began working, and continued to work for about half a day. Then, it stopped.
This tells me the code is fine. No one has been able to fix the problem since. It was escalated to "Level 2", with no success. It's now "Level 3", and STILL not working after SIX WEEKS!
We're going to move the sites to a different host service as soon as possible.
Given the very poor support, and unresolved issues at the HOST end, I can see why Hostmonster has a 1.1 rating (as of April 7, 2023).
Too bad it can't be a negative number. They deserve it!
User's recommendation: Find another hosting company! Do NOT do business with Bluehost or Hostmonster!
TERRIBLE Customer Support! Problems go uncorrected for days!
I own several domains, all of which have been hosted by Bluehost/Hostmonster for up to 14 years. In the beginning, support wasn't always good, but WAS tolerable, and problems - when they arose - were eventually resolved.
Endurance International Group bought Hostmonster in 2010, and for a while after the acquisition, support declined notably, and varied from marginal to worse than terrible.
We now have a problem with one of our domains that has been conclusively established as an incorrect setting at the Hostmonster servers.
Five days after contacting Hostmonster for help, the problem is STILL not corrected!. Last Friday, when the issue was elevated to "Level 2", the woman service agent promised the problem would be fixed "within 24 to 72 hours". Yes, she actually said, "I promise it will be fixed". It's now MORE than 72 hours, and the problem still exists.
In fact, it's been almost one WEEK! This issue prevents clients from contacting us via the website.
After dealing with multiple customer service people, and a collective total of nearly 8 hours on hold over a period spanning nearly a week, our problem was reportedly elevated to "Level 3" today (whatever that means).
The website e-mail code is identical across all of our domains, and it works on all of them but one, so we know the code isn't at fault. I contacted Hostmonster Support on March 1. The young man who answered identified the problem as an "incorrectly formatted SPF record" on that website, which is a setting on Hostmonster's servers.
He took steps to fix the problem, and as evidence of the code not being at fault, e-mail sent from the website worked again .. for a while. Then it stopped.
Now, almost a week later, the problem still exists. The young man I spoke wit this morning told me their Level 2 technicians "ran into difficulties diagnosing the problem (no details given), so it had to be elevated to "Level 3".
When you call Hostmonster Customer Support, it will be answered by someone overseas.
They may or may not be understandable depending on the lousy connection quality spanning thousands of miles, and their support people speaking with varying levels of a foreign accent.
After fighting with rising levels frustration, anger, and the loss of business we've experienced, I've decided to move all of our accounts to another hosting service as soon as possible.
My final comment on Hostmonster .. buyer beware.
User's recommendation: Sign up with them as a host at your own risk. Search for reviews on the net. It's very difficult to find anything positive said about Hostmonster.
Made a wrong payment
Unfortunately nothing has been solved . You gave me the instruction to register another domain which I did .
You said I will not be charged and you took 300$ . You said you will move the files ( websites) to the new domain and you did not simply it was and still a very frustrating and bad experience with you
User's recommendation: Have efficient employees that know what to advise.
Renew account
The person who helped me was AMAZING - She should get a raise. I have been trying to renew for a very long time and she was the only one that helped me.
Thank you.

Verified ReviewerSerious problem caused by Hostmonster
Hostmonster recently had a one month outage of their email system.
They didn't give us any reason for this matter or notify us when the system came back up.
When they did get back online they told me to reset my password.
They did NOT tell me there was any threat to my eleven years of emails.
As soon as I reset the password the entire email was wiped out.
They have NO backup system to restore their data.
I was left helpless on phone calls to foreign countries who didn't have a clue.

No Customer Service None
I decided to "Upgrade" my service plan to "Pro" level. Sites were to remain live during transition to more secure level of service.
During the migration all subdomains went down, access to c panel denied.
Most disturbingly, the error page reads "Account Suspended". Six days later still no sub domain service...and one cannot reach a human being who can give an answer about when the service might be restored.Don't up grade to Hostmonster Pro Plan...they will lose your files

Host monster is the worst company for design
Host monster is the worst company for design that I have ever used. They charge you $2500.00 takes over 10 months, they still do not get it right.
The marketing you pay for never happens. Bluehost is the main group who oversees hostmonster now but they will not do the marketing that was never done even though it was paid for.
Be VERY careful of these groups. Very shady.
They cost my business thousands
This company pressured me into upgrading my account that rendered my business website and emails inoperable for 4 days. They never resolved the problem because they are inept or they don't care.
I had to fix the problem myself by registering my domain with a different company. As, the owner of a small service business I rely on emails to communicate with current clients and future clients. I had countless live chats and phone call with tech support and they were not able to resolve the problem.
They kept telling me it would take 24-48 hours even after that time frame had passed. Use any other company for web hosting, they are terrible!
- That they cost my business thousands

Hostmonster is very irresponsible. the support will never answer the call nor reply you their lie 24/7 chat. I host with them and they got malware to my site and sold me sitelock service to clean up!
Hostmonster.com
I just wanted to take a few minutes to blast my hosting company, Hostmonster.com . I just had my site taken down because I had some video files that weren't linked to my website anymore.
I went with these losers because they offer a competitive rate or at least you think so until your site is up and running and the next year rolls around. That's when you pay almost double and your first years rate ends up evening out to what you might say is not a great deal at all. If you want to do it the right way don't work with Hostmonster.com. Go with One and One to host your website.
I worked with them and it was hassle free. I didn't have the company taking my site down because I didnt have my site organized on their server
