Stolen cash from room by hotel staff

On October 27th my daughter had $250.00 in cash stolen from her room by hotel staff, who had a key. The hotel made no effort to repay her after the crime was committed.

Outrageous! Our family had 8 rooms occupied (27-29 )October23.We have learned a hard lesson. Never to stay there again. The desk seemed to cover up the crime committed by one of the staff.

My grand daughter was in the room at the time of this theft and identified the staff member, who committed this offense. Never again enter that hotel.

Towels smelled horrible and were unuseable. William Queenan

Hotelumiere adding fees without telling customers

It was terrible. When I checked in I was asked to "wait for a room to be ready." After killing a half hour or so outside the lobby I returned.

Only to find them checking people into rooms. The people who had been told to wait were still waiting. When I checked in I was told a credit card was needed for a $50 hold for incidentals. I freely gave it.

There was no mention of anything else. I booked via a 3rd party, Priceline. So my price was set. When I checked in I didn't exactly inspect the room.

But the next morning when I took a shower I noticed hair on the edge of the bathtub. There was a used bar of soap on the holder in the tub. That's pretty disgusting to say the least. That afternoon I get a call from my wife saying a $79+ charge added to our card.

This was completely out of the blue. Nobody at the desk said anything this when I checked it because it went against the agreed upon price with Priceline. I would have booked elsewhere to be completely honest. The way the manager handled made things even worse.

After I proved that there was nothing on Priceline that said I'd be charged an additional fee he got even ruder. In the end, I'll never stay at that property again. There was nothing friendly about the desk staff during the day. I don't think I saw them smile a single time in the two days I spent there.

Add on the fact that it was obvious the room wasn't completely clean just confirmed it in my mind. I was hoping for a good stay as I'll be returning to St. Louis this fall. But I won't be staying there.

I'll also tell the other Memphis football fans who are making the trip not to stay their either. All because your GM, his staff and policies make it difficult on the customer.

I booked this room through a 3rd party. There was no mention of a resort fee.

Quite frankly I wouldve book a different hotel had I known. I was NOT told about this upon checking in. I only found out when $79 was put on hold today. I was only told a $50 hold for incidentals.

The GM was rude, uncaring and arrogant. If Im his boss Im looking for a new GM.
