Actively looking for a decent job in this God-forbidden economic DEPRESSION since being laid off permanently for 2 month & EVERY online job site has scammers..this one on Craigslist being the most recent: 1ST REPLY AFTER I APPLIED FOR DISPATCH ASSOCIATE POSITION-- From: "richard@***.com" To: Sent: Tue, August 17, 2010 2:05:31 AM Subject: RE: Dispatch Associate position Dear Applicant, it is wonderful to speak to you. Im glad sites like this are here, I got an email which I will cut and paste on here, Which Is pretty much along the lines of the previous ones. I did some checking online because It just didnt feel legit. The fake company name they are using In the email Is Go Staff Inc. Their website shows that they are only In claifornia, As I am In maryland this also sent up a red flag, Upon googling the number I found this site.

Here Is the email I recieved.

Sent me an email from a job posting on craig's list. The email was from ***.

The return email address was a hotmail address. The email said that they would like to interview me but I had to fill out a short profile. The profile had a credit score checkmark box that must be selected in order to complete the form. SCAM.

My time is valuable. Not only did I spend time filling out the app but I had to take time send this post as well.

I received an e-mail similar to this after sending my résumé to a job posting on craigslist. They claimed to be from a company called "apn-media".

After googling and finding nothing I e-mailed them back giving them a piece of my mind about how disgusting it is to try and scam the unemployed. I'm a recently single mother of a 17-month-old girl and I told them that they might as well be taking the food right out of my daughter's mouth! I doubt my e-mail will ever reach anyone, and if it did, I doubt it would sway their heart away from this vile scam operation but it still felt good to send it and get it off my chest. I really hope no one falls for this.

My heart cries for humanity. :sigh

That darn "Richard Taylor"...I got an email of the same tenor from ol' Rich. You think these scammers would be smart enough to NOT send 7 replies back-to-back from a different person each time.

Big red flag! If they ask you to do anything except for scheduling an interview (face to face) then I would end it right there...especially if 20 different people are sending you responses to the same posting.

Use your common sense. If it doesn't feel right, 9 times out of 10 it isn't!

Thank you for your replies. I'm still out of work since the last wk.

of June. Fred's and Dollar General haven't even called me. I agree, the jobs that are available, they want to work the s&^% out of you, pay you minimum wage (even though I have 2 college degrees & 20+ years job experience) and think you owe them a big thank you!! What has happened to our economy has affected any decent jobs from opening up because pple are not leaving, afraid they won't be able to find something better, afraid to retire and everywhere I call has a hiring freeze on.

The Nashville Tennesseean had the audacity to run on their front page a couple of wks. ago...."Recession is Over".. Can you believe that??? What the f$#&!!!!

And everytime I call customer service for personal business, a freaking person with horrible English skills answers from the Phillipines, India or China. Big employers have done this to us. We go bankrupt, foreclose on our homes because we can no longer find a decent paying job and the Govt. bails out the banks, but not us?????

I'm getting where I hate the U.S. for it' screwed up upside down economy, lack of demonstrating our rights (prayer in schools)and the Legislature spending our tax dollars to spend all their time on whether or not to legalize *** marriage or marijuana when they need to get their a&^%s on a subject that really matters!!! And that is getting us back to work in a job that can actually support our middle class lifestyle!!! Anyone know a miraculous website that has REAL JOBS that are hiring??

At this point, I don't even know if I'll be able to get a job at KMart for the Christmas rush. But then again, who the H*%& has any money to spend????????????
