Rude and inept counselor

I called the chat service to speak with someone about my issues.

He would ask a question, and I would be trying to explain. Out of nowhere the counselor said "Be right back" I was upset as I was right in the middle of explaining something.

When he returned I explained in no uncertain terms that I found him rude and that his behavior was inappropriate for a person in his position.

Rather than apologizing and explaining himself. He rudely stated "What would you have me do if I have to go to the bathroom" I cannot believe this deplorable treatment from someone who is supposed to be helping people in crisis.

I worked in a call center to support Rogers customers. I would have been reprimanded for less than that. You are advertising your services all over the website, and soliciting people to call.

You should be ashamed that you have a person of this caliber to represent your company. This is the first time I have ever utilized your services. This level of service is unacceptable. It takes a very special individual to take on this type of work.

I don't even think this person had any kind of training or even the basic kind, human decency that is required for this type of work. My experience left me shaken as I am already in a bad place and was seeking comfort. Your little emails you send out makes everything nice. But I can hardly be helped by someone who appears to have their own issues.

I would be very surprised if Hopeline reached out to me to further discuss my situation. The worst part is that you use religion to back yourselves up.

Why now when I hear the word religion do I want to run in the opposite direction. I challenge Hopeline to actually contact me to aid in resolving my unfortunate encounter.

Preferred solution: Is to never deal with Hopeline again. I will also be spreading the word on Facebook so that some poor other person in crisis will not fall prey to this abuse.

My experience with this app made me feel even worse about myself.

My poor experiences with this app happened a long time ago. I wish I had written a review then to warn others.

The HopeCoaches are poorly trained.

I had my chats closed on me and was also told off for using the app frequently. You are better off calling a local hotline.

Horrible, made me ashamed to contact them

I was severly depressed and had suicidal thoughts when I started using thehopeline. I used the chat service a lot and was terrified of getting kicked for using it so much so I used a couple different names.

At first they were friendly but then one day the guy I was chatting with said I was using the service a lot and sent me a list of all of the names I had used. He said they could no longer help me and that I needed to go to a doctor. I guess they had recorded my IP address and information, which proves it’s not confidential. I was ashamed and livid that he had the guts to send me a list of all of the names I had used because I used those names out of fear of being banned for reaching out to them several times.

I do not reccommend these guys in the slightest. It proves that they don’t care about doing their job and helping others.

If a person seems too depressed they’ll turn them away and tell them to see a doctor. Thehopeline is a bunch of monsters.

Hopeline - Customer Care Review from Round Lake, Illinois

I waited a half an hour to talk to somebody because I was feeling so stressed depressed and anxious. I told him that I would like to talk about all of this.

For me I thought the website was licensed people able to help you well I chose to do a chat through text all they did was give me a number for somebody else to call.

I feel like they did not care about me or anything I even said this was my first time reaching out to someone for help now I don't think I can do it not after that. I came to the website so I can talk to one person about my issues not be told to call somebody else about my issues why are they even a website :(

Ah, I'm so sorry to hear about that. I've been on TheHopeLine previously too.

They told me that all the HopeCoaches were people who went through depression or something like that.

But they're not professionals, either... Hopefully this info helps?

Psychopathic psychos working at crisis hotlines

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

No one can imagine the level of twisted humans there are that exist out there in society. If you area person going through crisis and just looking to talk to someone u can call these horrible crisis lines and the people on the lines are nothing but abusive sadistic mean cruel.

Have no interest in helping you and will consistently be abysive to you or do nothing and just sit there like robots. I called one line it's called the hope line in New York just looking to talk to someone. 180******** The female was rude did nothing to help. She just repeated everything I said.

I said that's not helpful or talking.? She did this on purpose just to really upset irritate me more on purpose. Her response to me saying this was oh ok. She continued doing nothing to help.

No talking nothing helpful. She tried to refer me to life net where she claims they do crisis counseling and on lifenet 180******** all I got was more ignorant abusive females who refused just to talk to me. I'm well spoken nice voice. Not even sure why these crazy people refuse to help out.

The hope line once I spoke to a very nice woman who was amazing and nice. The rest are sociopaths who enjoy abusing people calling in. It's really sick that they hire such terrible people for this line. Monsters really.

Most women are psycho rude catty. I can't imagine why. I'm kind friendly nice. In this world today there are sociopaths working at these crisis lines who literally abuse people calling in and do nothing to help them and give them reasons why they can't help.

The ny line I began cursing the female out and she had no response!! She didn't hang up because this sociopath enjoyed getting me angry and upset. Only a soulless sociopath wud enjoy someone cursing them out and sitting there through it. These are wicked people on these lines.

I wonder if they're even human but they probably work there just to feel powerful over victims and abuse them more. These lunatics should be removed from these places immediately.
