Hope Xenakis

Dr. Xenakis is rude and very condescending.

She does not explain procedures at all, and trying to get any information or explanations is ridiculously difficult. Her receptionist is even worse. She is rude, impolite and REPEATEDLY scheduled me for incorrect appointment times.

I would never recommend this office to anyone. The only redeeming factors were the two dental hygeniest, who were both very warm and caring.

On 3/21/10 we posted a complaint to Hope Xenakis DDS. On 3/22 I called and demanded a refund and the receptionist told me they would get back to me on that later in the day.

Well, that afternoon they did, and agreed to refund us the cost of the denture and 1 reline. I was surprised and felt we'd been somewhat vindicated for the money incurred, however, I still feel 17 months were wasted in an effort to get some chops that fit without using a tube of dental adhesive to keep them in for a while.

Boy were we stretched out! At least now we can move on and try again.

I called Dr. Xenakis' office on 3/22/10, the day after my last complaint.

I then demanded a refund. I was told I would be called back after awhile, and I was. I was issued a refund for the amount of my denture and reline on 3/23/10. I was surprised and felt somewhat vindicated, however, there was never an apology for being stretched out for 17 months only to never get a denture that even remotely fit.

I honestly believe she knew it would never work out as she had to take 3 molds at the beginning, and they were HUGE! Will move on now.

Hope Xenakis, DDS, located in Asheville, NC charged me $1,050.00 up front 17 months ago for a denture that never fit me. She assured me it was to my advantage that she do the job for me because "denture specialty places do assembly-line work and their dentures are poor quality." She also assured me that her dentures would never require any dental adhesive to fit.

Well, after 17 months, several adjustments and 2 relines, ($270.00) they still fall right out of my mouth unless lots of denture adhesive is applied. On my last visit, which was the final one, she gave me my denture (after a supposed reline) and it fit even worse! She acknowledged this and said, "I don't know what to tell you. I can give you some Fixodent but I have another patient waiting." Then she left the room!!!!

She is dishonest and she never gave me a refund.

I am taking her to small-claims court. She is very incompetent and does not have a clue what she's doing.

Don't waste your time with her. She's a nut case!
