Terrible customer service

My experience with Honda of the Avenues, is now just your typical dealership with all the terrible stereotypes that come with it.

I paid 1220 to have this location put tires on my car and damage my personal property, give excuses, and arguments instead of solutions, only to have refurbished rims and 259 dollars returned to have another business check behind their work. My rims weren't brand new but the car is taken care of from a car enthusiast perspective.

When I received the car, there was 2 inches of grease on every tire around the lip of the rim that I spent the remainder of the night washing off.

As I washed the grease off I noticed scratches, rashes in the face of the rim and chips out of my powder coat in between the spokes(two-tone rim). Along with dented angle marks and chips out of my paint on the fender wells. I was extremely upset because it was on EVERY rim and this was the first set of tires the car needed since I purchased the car brand new. Which now had circular scratches from the tire machine in the dead center.

Honda was called immediately and was told someone would reach out the next day. After dealing with multiple staff and general managers of the service department with photo proof and admittance from the service team. I agreed to take the refurbish from a call a week later with Scott the general manager of Honda, since Im out of pocket the damages, 4 rims, paint job, faulty alignment, and maximum trade in value. With all the wrongs, I decided to not bring my car back in fear more damage would happen to the car I dedicated to keep brand new.

I brought only the wheels and I had the privilege of meeting and discussing with the general manager of Honda to get through "the make things right process". The only option that was given to me "to make things right" is also what was used to try to exploit me as getting something free, even though the damaged was caused by their service department. Not only did they refuse the mistake of the damage at first, later explained, the damage was from a faulty tire machine. Which seemed to be in use for a week since my service and decided that day to cancel wheel mounts and balances until the part comes in which didn't align with other GMs stories.

Continuing on, the GM complains that this experience might become a normal routine with another upset customer. Speaking poorly of other dealerships and talking about the "tricks of the trade" which he was using the entire time through this process. He spoke poorly of people in general, always trying to get free stuff to me.

He spoke poorly of his "personal wheel guy" before seeing his efforts. Only for me to explain after paying him minimum effort and giving him not enough time to fix the specific amount of damage his personal wheel guy became the a guy "who does all the wheel repairs for Jacksonville dealerships, who sides with the payee and speaks behind clients backs".

While lying about the wheel guy telling him the chips in the wheels are rusted when aluminum doesn't rust. After I explained what the rim looked like I explained his work seemed good from his portfolio but did not reflect given the timeframe and I asked if he would like to take a look. His pause when he looked at the rims gave me every answer I needed. His best answer to me was my quality and your quality mean two different things.

It was shocking to experience just how much sneakiness goes on behind the scenes of a dealership. Even when the wheel guy apologized for the work he gave his best to do, and I thanked him for what he could mask on the rims. This wasn't about getting something free but putting the quality and time back into the customers, where I had put the faith, time and money to make that location a priority.

I asked the GM if there is anything he could do just as he asked me to let him make this right and his response was "I feel I did that, there's nothing more I will do." After taking my personal property twice to him, it left that lot with more damage and depreciation after. Disappointed, I will not go back to this location, since quality is not a priority, it comes time-consuming and costly out of your own pocket with the general manager and his management style leading the staff behind it.

I will not be doing business with Honda of the Avenues in Jacksonville FL ever again. If your a vendor I suggest you think twice before doing business with Lou Sobh Honda of the Avenues in Jacksonville FL Lou Sobh President, Mike Sobh VP, Mike Fortune Dallett V acting GM and Ned Sobh refuse to pay me after I did consulting work for them.

They did pay me 23% of what they owe to my company, unfortunately they still owe me $4029.05 In my opinion if you live in the Jacksonville FL area and you want to purchase a New Honda or Certified Pre-Owned Honda DO BUSINESS with HONDA COGGIN JACKSONVILLE DO NOT do business with Honda of the Avenues. - Deceptive Company.

Honda Of The Avenues - Customer Care Review from Baltimore, Maryland

I don't generally write reviews but thanks to Honda here is my first one. Honda at the avenues has the most terrible service department there could be.

No one informs you correctly. I went in for an oil change and someone said they close at 7pm. I left after waiting for 30 mins and went back in the next day at 6, after getting off work early specifically for this task. Once I was there, lovely Ben says he doesn't have enough time to change the oil but was too busy having casual conversations.

Normally it takes 30 mins at most to get the job done when they're busy.

Apparently an hour was not enough today. Needless to say I'm pissed off and will not return.

Honda of the Avenues

This service department is the absolute worst. Their hours on Saturday are supposedly 8am-4pm.

I took time out of my weekend to bring it in for a quick oil change. I arrived at 3pm, and the guy told me they had a line of cars already and wouldn't be able to get to me before they closed at 4, so I should "come back another time." WHAT? "Closed at 4pm" means you don't accept new customers after 4pm! It's like a restaurant that closes at 10pm turning people away at 9:30 because they wouldn't be able to order and eat within 30mins.

Thanks for nothing, Honda of the Avenues. You've just lost a customer to Jiffy Lube.

Nope, for an auto shop, especially a dealership, closed at 4 means just that, closed. It ain't no restaurant. Would you have rather they let you wait and at 4 they told you they couldn't do the job?
