Verified Reviewer | Salt Lake City, UtahI agree Homewatch is horrible
Homewatch is horrible no wonder medicaid ended the contract with them there company sucks aides are in a big hurry to leave I was with home watch over 15yrs only because my mom was employed for them before she passed away in 2013 my mom had a heart aneurysm she got kicked in the chest by a client and my mom didn't report it. They send there aides out to clients with no tips or nothing about the client there basically Blind folding the aides. I finally have left this company for good do not apply go with somewhere else Home Helpers or visiting angels or stonebridge
User's recommendation: Beware
Very dishonest company. The employers seem to be nice, but looks are deceiving. A horrible company to work for. They will give you shifts, smile on your face and then lie to you. They owe me money
Very unprofessional company. I definitely wouldn't recommend them as an employer.
This company asked me to take shifts knowing they were not going to keep employed with them. I worked over 12+ hours and they kept my check.
A bunch of women who act as if they never had anything. Not a pleasant place to work
User's recommendation: Don't bother with trying to be employed by this company. You will regret it.

A week before Thanksgiving my boss said after Thanksgiving week we will need you when we call
Dishonest way of doing business
I have $60 that is due to me. This was for the cost of a lanyard badge; however, I never received it.
Then after 3 months working there, I quit as I didn't like the way they do business.
Orientation folder I received says that if I no longer work there that I can return the Lanyard (which I never received) and receive a refund of $60 but still waiting for refund.
I have been warning all my friends as they were interested in becoming caregivers for this company. I will continue to warn people as they do not stick with their own contract regarding lanyard badge.
Preferred solution: Full refund
No show
We’ve had repeated late arriving or no show caregivers with this agency making it impossible to be prompt and sometimes even show up for important appointments. We’re done with Homewatch
Lorie coordinator
Lorie the coordinator needs to be terminated poor employment handling interview
Lorie coordinator
Was scheduled for interview with Lorie coordinator at10:00 for position she informed me she wouldn’t be there till 11:00 at Doctors appointment.
AWFUL! Do not give them your CREDIT CARD!
Such an awful experience! They reneged on negotiated contract at the last minute!
They were hired to drive someone home from hospital after surgery and then told us the day before they actually did not have a car! They said we should hire a taxi! Was not allowed to cancel as they said we had a contract and our CREDIT CARD NUMBER! Then overcharged our credit card and did not respond to complaint for almost TWO weeks!
Still will not give the refund to our my credit card. Such an awful experience with Homewatch caregivers.
I would really stay away from this company. They do not stick to their portion of the contract!
Preferred solution: Full refund
Felon Hired to watch Elderly Parent with Dementia
We hired Homewatch Caregivers last August part time for a parent with dementia/alzheimers. Things were going ok.
When parent went into rehab for infusions, he required someone to be present constantly during his waking hours. He would not comply with medical instructions. Increased level of care to full time; even weekends. HG provided another part timer with new one in the a.m.
and existing employee in p.m.; no one was ever hired to do weekends. Family stepped in to do evenings and weekends. Parent released home but we continued will full-time care. Less than 2 months later, we discovered that the new morning HG employee had my dad sign a bunch of checks to the tune of at least $21,000.
Called HG Windsor, CO to stop this particular employee from ever coming back, explained situation. Filed complaint with police and bank. Informed HG Nurse of situation and showed her copies of checks. Police confirmed new HG employee had multiple convictions for identity theft and fraud.
They suggested I Google they person, and I found some criminal background without the full access the police have. Wow, HG hired a convicted felon to work with an at-risk elderly person! Either they hired without a background or did the background and did not care. Neither is acceptable!
Called HG to speak to owner, Don Welles, he refused my call. Mailed a certified letter. No response.
DA's office called to let me know a plea deal in progress so the felon could avoid a Habitual Offender charge. Do NOT hire Homewatch Caregivers!!!

DISHONEST AND THIEVES
I have a severely handicapped daughter that my husband and I adopted. Well I received a severe neck/spine injury at work leaving me disabled.
My daughter's insurance pays to give us home health aides in our home to help with her for a few hours a day. When I have to have spine surgeries we are given more hours. Called Homewatch caregivers, they sent in a nice woman to help with bath etc, After shewas in our home a few months I found out she was working 3 or 4 hours and putting in for 16 hours a day. The company policy was for her to clock in and out from her cell phone.
She would fill out her time sheets and after I signed them she would change the times using white-out. When I found this out I notified the owner of the company, they wanted me to fax all timesheets and send e-mails letting them know when this woman left. This went on for more than 3 months, this woman getting paid for about 60 hours more a week than what she worked and Homewatch Caregivers collecting more than 60 hours a week from my insurance company. I followed their directions and the owner told me he hadcontacted the insurance company and he would take care of it.
Well he did take care of it alright: He put the aide on a different case and dropped us. I am in need of another spine surgery and I have no help with my daughter, so my surgery is put on hold until we can get another nursing agency to hire employees and they get trained. Homewatch Caregivers does not care about anyone.
Oh Yes, I did contact their Corporate Office and they do not have any rules or policies that their people have to follow. If this man was drowning I would like to throw him a cinderblock to make him go down faster.

Homewatch Caregivers Customer Care Review
I was shocked by the way caregivers in the medical field could treat patients in need. The charlotte office is full of the most rude and inconsiderate people you can imagine.
I was actually threatened by their staff.
Furthermore, the threatened to call my work to defame my name. This group is a bunch of low life criminals, not medical professionals!
Watch out
Watch out for this company they are looking for our wallet, first hand experience of this company trying to steal business from us. I would consider looking at different companies and other options if you are looking for care.
Do your homework with these companies before you make a decision. Check them out and see what kind of background review they have within the community. Ask several questions and hopefully you will get honest answers from them.
So many scammers out there so be careful before you make the decision. Its all about trust and people that really care for you and your family.
Company Home Watch Caregivers
This company called me on my day off and ASKED me if someone could work for me because they were having financial difficulties and so I let this girl work for me. The company called me wanting me to get a doctor's excuse for being out and they were the ones who asked me could she work for me!!!
I refused!! Not long after that, the girl was prosecuted for stealing over $3,700!!!!!!!! How's that for a professional company??
After I quit the company, I found out that my old clieent was in the hospital. I wanted to go see her and was told by my OLD manager that I couldn't go see her because I had signed an anti-harrassement agreement.
How can they really tell me what to do or not to do especially when I don't work for them anymore and the client's husband said it would be fine if I came to see her?!
I wouldn't recommend this company to anybody! Not anyone looking for a job or anyone who needs healthcare!!!

I've worked with Home Watch Towson and they took $60 from me to purchase a lanyard badge. I never received it and I since quit due to the sneaky way they do business.
Orientation papers say if you leave company, return the badge for $60 refund. Well never received badge and $60 they owe me.
