Hometown Realty
Hometown (SHYSTER)
I can't believe that this type of unethical behavior is really going on unchecked, apparently so. After reading several reviews of Hometown realty, and Judy Hamblin, I'm finding the situations and circumstances all to familiar.
Good people are being taken advantage of. Don't be the next victom. If you have been taken advatage of , speak up. It's a shame, But Hometown realty is proof that even in a town as nice as Monroe, one has to be very careful not to fall in to a small town comfort zone.
How do people like this face there community with a clear conciance. THEY DON'T.
Judy Hamblin, Hometown Realty, a Shark in Utah
Judy, Judy, Judy -- did you think you could get away with the scheme you're running forever? I've heard of flipping houses before, but flipping owners? That's a new one, and a technique you seem to have honed to perfection.
Let me ask you, do you think it's ethical, what you do? Do you think folks wouldn't catch on and do something about it eventually? Well, it's about to start for you.
You and your sister Kelley Richardson gain the confidence of others that you put into your houses, only to pull the rug out from under them down the road. Did you think it would go on forever? No, it has to stop.
What Judy Hamblin sells isn't worth it, folks. Beware of her tactics. It's time to put a stop to the intimidation and threats. You, we, have the power to do it.
Judy Hamblin and Hometown Realty - A Reason for no BBB Accreditation?
According to the Better Business Bureau’s Utah website, Hometown Realty is not BBB accredited. To quote from their site, “BBB does not have sufficient background information on this business. BBB made two or more requests for background information from the business. BBB has not received a response from this business and/or has not been able to verify information received from this business.”
Hmmm.
In light of the kinds of things that have been going on that I’ve been told directly by home purchasers who have done business with Judy Hamblin and her Hometown Realty company, I can understand her not pursing a BBB rating. People are embarrassed about the situation they’ve been caught in and don’t want to talk about it publicly, but I know what they’re going through and I'll be their voice.
It's unacceptable.
I’ve seen the devastation when the home they thought they could afford gets taken away from them. They put their trust in Hamblin and Hometown and the deal she worked out, and it’s wound up blowing up in their faces.
This is my warning to you: beware of any deal you make with Hometown Realty and Judy Hamblin. Make sure you know EXACTLY what you’re getting into. Research everything, and then decide if this really is the crew you want to work with.
Judy Hamblin - Hometown Realty, Monroe, Utah
I’m glad I got a notion to do a little online research about Judy Hamblin and her Hometown Realty business. I was a little suspicious about what might be going on as I got that sense when dealing with her that it was almost too good to be true. It seemed as if it almost didn’t matter what kind of a deal or terms were struck, as long as she got a chance to make a sale and deliver keys to someone.
It almost had the feel of a used car salesperson, that caricature we think of in the worst sense of that phrase.
So I Googled her and saw what she has been alleged to have been doing, and now I get it. I see how she operates. Glad I steered clear. Something just didn’t feel right and I’m glad I followed my instincts and checked her out first before entering into a deal with her and her Realty company!
Hometown Realty, Monroe, Utah - Scamming Buyers
You'd think that in a one-horse town like Utah, you wouldn't have to worry about something like this, but perhaps this is how they stay in business – by luring people who can't really afford homes into very generous contracts with a balloon note (read: huge payment) after a year or two or three. Then when the people who "bought" the house can't come up with that huge note, Hometown Realty and Judy Hamblin kick them out and line up another sucker – I mean, owner.
Perhaps we should help find Hamblin another line of work by not playing her shell game. because that's all it really is. I'm surprised to see this going on in a town like Monroe. And it needs to stop.
Beware of Judy Hamblin of Hometown Realty, Monroe, Utah
I was surprised to hear about what Hometown Realty and Judy Hamblin are doing to make money in the real estate business in the Monroe, Utah area.
Sounds like Hamblin is taking notes watching unethical used car salespeople lure struggling buyers in and put them in a car they know they'll be reposessing a little ways down the road anyway. So they get a chance to sell the same car over and over again and make money time and again on the same vehicle.
Sounds like this same kind of practice is going on with Hometown and Hamblin. I've heard the stories. It ain't pretty.
Be very careful if you're considering entering into a deal with her. Know what you're getting into. Educate yourself. Do some research both online and "offline." Understand what can blow up on you. Protect yourself. Fair warning!
