Horrible service!

I use them for bugs and termites. First they didnt have the set amt of termite stations they were charging me for.

And that was a fight to get them. And bug service.. I have been complaining numerous times now! They dont do what they are supposed to.

So I finally got a manager to come and clean everything off my house (those mud things) and spray because they saw by pictures how bad everything was.. Well I got told I get a new tech and I have no more problems.... well I got a new tech today and he spent all 3 minutes at my home.. I didnt answer the door because I wanted to see what he do..

well he put the little sign in my yard and left. Im sick of this company.

And I see its not only in Florida they are horrible its all over they pull this garbage! Im done Im going to a mom and pop business where you get treated better!

I purchased a new home that came with a 3 year warranty and after 3 years and 3 months I noticed termites in my Chandler,AZ new home build.In FL the industry standard is 5 yrs. and my FL only had an issue after 11 yrs. I'm not happy and suspect my new home property wasn't even treated.

Failure to provide termite bond

Failure to provide termite bond certificate when requested! Several calls have been made requesting copy of bond. Individual said have to look for file copy! Same response two times.

Very unhappy

I have a new townhome with a home team device mounted on the rear wall of my townhome. I received a letter saying I need to renew my service. So I paid 200.10 dollars. A guy shows up and does a termite inspection WHICH I DID NOT ASK FOR!!!! He is here for a few minutes . I thought he was going to insert something in the wall device but that is additional fee. I WAS Not TOLD ANY OF THIS. VERY UNHAPPY

Hometeam used to separate my bug spraying and my termite service so I felt like they were being done by people specific to that department. Now they tie your bug spray during the same visit for your annual termite inspection. This is done by the same person and the service I received in the past, just isn't the same. I see more bugs than ever and they act like its an inconvenience to come back out. I'm looking for a company to replace them with after 12+ years

Worst pest control company EVER!

I will never use this company again. After a loyal customer for 4 1/2 years, I’m done.

They are high-pressure and do not honor what you have paid for. I still had three weeks left before the 90 days was up before renewing. Because I told them I did not care for how they did business, they would not come out when I called for a wasp nest removal. They said because I canceled my service, they would not come out any longer.

That should not prevent my getting what I paid for in that 90 day timeframe.

The previous time they came without telephoning me they were coming. They said they e-mailed me three times, but I did not respond. It turns out they were sending e-mails to my deceased husband’s e-mail. (supposedly sent them) When asked why they didn’t phone me, they said they didn’t have my number.

It’s funny they have it when they want me to pay for another 90 day service. I’m glad I don’t have pets that could have gotten out when they decided to come without authorization.

I have called their corporate office twice and left messages both times, but nobody has returned my calls. Horrible company.

Spiders and bugs

I know a thing or two about pest control. This is not a 100% bug deterrent. Bugs are still going to enter the home. There are countless holes in your home well above the ground. They are going to fly in your home, come through the pipes, and other ways. Now listen to this part, it is important, spiders are not going to go away. They will always hang around. Their bodies don't touch the ground so they don't clean their bodies of chemicals. Some also use their web to float with the wind and will land on your home. Spiders will never go away. The pest control guy has probably told you that the spiders will not go away. The spiders will not go away. They will always remain.

Hometeam Pest Defense bad termite bond experience

We are having very similar problems with Hometeam not paying for repairs caused by termite damage to our home here in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. Our builder had our home treated pre-construction by the company Hometeam acquired in this area and the same company installed a Sentricon system two years later in 1998.

When Hometeam acquired the local company in 1999, they advised us that they would continue to monitor our system and would totally honor the $500,000 bond. We have continued to pay them for monitoring and annual inspections and renewals all these years. We have now discovered termite damage which obviously has been present for a while despite their service and they are refusing to pay for the total cost of the repairs.

They have offered a very low amount, not even a fifth of the cost of the repairs. We will now be forced to sue them to recover our loss.

I now think Sentricon and Hometeam are complete frauds.

Hometeam Pest Defense - SCAMMERS!!!
Received a letter misleading me into thinking I was required to use their service or void the warranty through the home builder. I obviously signed up not wanted to void any warranty for my home only to deal with relentless insect issues and the most horrendous customer service imaginable. After talking with some neighbors I found out that the letter indicating that I would void my home warranty was bogus and a completely misleading. I feel embarrassed and duped. These guys are scammers and the service doesn’t even work. I have not met a single person in my neighborhood that has been happy with the “pest control”, or total lack there of. Stay away, you have been warned and I only wish I had done my research before signing a contract with them.

Hometeam downplays the significance of their contract. Over the phone the say how their contract is not really a contract because you can cancel at anytime. What they fail to mention, and hear is the misleading part, that they REALLY REALLY do place high value on the contract and it is a big deal for them, no matter how much the local office says it does not matter. All the way to corporate in Dallas, they will hold firm on the contract... why do this when they will tell you it is not that important? By signing, you sign over a piece of your property to them for free. You outright sign over the rights to the bug system and you no longer own it. Small detail, but it has significance ESPECIALLY now that their patents are expired and anyone can do this or service the system.

I have used them for 14 years for pest control and the guy has always treated from the outside. I have a pest control system built into the walls. However in August of 2018 I was having a terrible problems with ants and the guy came out here four times to treat. No luck. One day he came in with a wand and a canister and started spraying everywhere. I noticed that it left a film on my cabinet which I thought I could wash off after I let it work for a couple of days. But now after looking at it I can see that it has eaten the stain off my maple cabinets and Hometeam is trying to deny that they did the damage.
