Home inspection gone wrong

I have learned a valuable lesson from this experience, always check for yourself.

We bought a house in Nov of 2023, had the house inspected twice. We found out the heating system is not the right size for the house, after asking the Home team inspector if it was, he told me it would be fine.

Well its a 2.5 ton for a 2450 square foot house, at 600 square feet/ton no sir it isnt. I have written that off to Home Team inspections just wanting to make the buyer feel at easy so they buy and oh well they will figure it out when winter hits. Well job well done we figured it out, thank you for the valuable lesson Home team great job.

Also when winter came we had some water issues. Got home from working all day to the wife telling me that certain water faucets were not working.

So I climbed under the house and sure enough hex water lines not insulated and laying on the ground along with half of the insulation that was supposed to be in between the joust. after spending 3 and half hours in 10 degree weather under my house.

I have fixed most of that problem for now.

I dont know if this will help homeowners and/or buyers, but maybe, hopefully it will raise a red flag for them to be more aware than I was. shame on you Home Team, you reap what you sow!!!

I paid $1650 for an inspection and reports on 5 structures. The inspection report was due 14 days later. This is what I received:

Report 1, Main house: received 15 days later.

Report 2, Kennel building: received 24 days later.

Report 3, Stock barn: received 25 days later, after our Inspection Agreement Form was already submitted.

Report 4, Converted Tobacco Barn: never received

Report 5, Small house: never received

Their motto is Fast, Trusted and Accurate. None of this has been true. He hasn't responded to contacts.
