Unsafe environment/Cannot reach staff in emergency
I want to start by saying that being able to get forwarded to an after hours line for an emergency situation is important and great. Although glitches etc happen occasionally when it doesn't work more often or the after hours emergency option just ends the call it can be frustrating.
When individuals are trying to break into the apartment building, we need to be able to inform staff!
It was a worrisome situation putting lives of tenants at risk. Criminals trying to break is huge security red flag and requires immediate help.

Unsafe environment/no answer during emergency
To keep the story short, the after hours line at the Fairlea apartments sometimes go unanswered during emergencies. I understand if there are glitches but being hung up on and not being able to reach a person can be frustrating when criminals are trying to break into the building and you want to notify staff.
User's recommendation: Move elsewhere so you can stay alive.

The pool hours are 9-8 pm. Really??
HmmmI beg to differ. Door is locked again..,my 4 yo granddaughter is crying again bc I promised we could swim. Cannot contact anyone bc all you get is voicemail. Google Homestead and numbers listed are out of service.
Other advice given was to call around to the other buildings office staffhmmm big surprise -voicemail! Ridiculous! Homestead needs to take responsibility! Hire more staff.
Learned pool was closed bc no staff to test the water. Really? Well thats bc Homestead got rid of so many staff (really good staff people) and decided it was a good idea to have 1 person working all 3 buildings in the area rather than the previous practice of 1 person on staff for each building! Brilliant!
Hows that working out for you? Saving lots of money? Well it doesnt work well for tenants! Also, homeless are getting into the building, roaming halls, stairwells, underground parking.
Its unsafe. Cars being broken into. Homestead hired 1 security guard to man the building due to tenant complaints. Lasted maybe 4-5 weeks.
Just long enough to give a false sense of security to tenants. No more security but still homeless getting in building, roaming and breaking into cars. Lets hope thats all that happens! Give your head a shake Homestead!
You actually DO have a responsibility to make sure your tenants are and feel safe! Big fail!!!
