These do not work for long even with 4 new batteries. Once the batteries are installed, we cannot get them out.

Two items are effected and two haven't been opened. Request a REFUND for these 4 units and authorization for return product postage.

Disappointed

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My stove, dishwasher and dryer decided to have issues in the same week. I called and made 3 separate claims on May 23rd.

I've called numerous times since then and finally, 2 weeks ago, someone came to check the stove. Called and spoke with a someone July 6th that said someone would be out to check the dryer on July 9th. July 7th I received a phone call stating the Model of the dryer they had was incorrect and to contact them with the correct number. I called and gave them the Model and everything was fine - still scheduled for 7/9.

Less than 10 minutes after hanging up with customer service I receive an email that my claim was canceled!! SINCE MAY 23rd!!!!!! Contacted customer service again and was told I had file a new claim for the dryer. No explanation, no nothing...

When I asked why it was cancelled, he said, "Ma'am, I need the information if you want to file a claim." In fact any question I had, like why no one had asked during the several calls I made to customer care for the model number or why it has taken so long... I was given the same 1 sentence answer. I asked that since the service call was just cancelled could they still come out on the 9th since my husband had already taken off work... Nothing...

Same answer. So once again I had to file a claim for my dryer. And the dishwasher... forget it....

my warranty will be over by the time they fix that.

It's honestly a COMPLETE joke!!!! I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic, but the same company that was able to come out to check out the stove, is LG certified and could have worked on the dishwasher as well as the dryer.

Homelife Warranty Protection Air Conditioner Warranty Review from Mesa, Arizona

LOVE THESE GUYS!!! I had another company who I won't mention and they denied my 2 ton compressor bc it hadn't been maintained.

I signed up with HLWP and they actually told me upfront before I purchased that if I take care of my stuff they will take care of me. But if I don't they won't. I like upfront, honest and truthful companies that are willing to give you the straight skinny to prevent dishonest people scamming. I see all the reviews but at least I was informed upfront.

They actually explained the difference between expected and unexpected breakdowns. So I purchased a maintenance plan with one of their vendors and my unit went out and they covered it bc it was maintained. I had to pay for freon, but I get it. Everything ain't covered.

And when I knew that upfront it's a good feeling that they will tell it like it is but back me up when I did my part. It makes sense cuz it's my house not theirs.

And it costs money to own your home. GREAT AND HONEST COMPANY!!!

HOMELIFE HOME WARRANTY CONTRACT

WHIRLPOOL and the HOMELIFE WARRANTY, BEWARE THE ***.

Read this before you purchase a Home Warranty coverage Policy.

And If you have a Warranty with this company I suggest you READ YOUR CONTRACT before you waste any more money!!!

So here I am with a useless microwave, I bought a Whirlpool Velos 3 yrs ago, I decided to splash out and get my self a top of the range microwave Convection oven, cost me $1100 I don't have a family, just me here most of the time, .and it doesn't get used that often. A month ago I saw flashes from the microwave and then it switched off, dead, nothing working at all.

I contacted my home warranty company, with great joy that I had actually bothered to cover myself, thinking OH YES I don't have to worry, it's covered. They tell me it will cost me $55 for the service call, OK I said, that's great. Their engineer turns up and has no idea, he say's I never worked on these before, I will have to get someone else who knows more about them, Visit Number 2, He tells me that its not worth fixing as the Magnetron and the Control Board are blown, That means I will have to pay for the Control board. As it is not covered on my Warranty, This is not information I want to hear as I know that virtually everything electronic in my home has a control board, and the replacement of these is very expensive. ITS IN YOUR CONTRACT I am told. The contract I have to add is a single A4 size piece of paper, The printing on it is so small I need a magnifying glass to read it. OK I say, but I still want this repaired, he isn't Happy at all. Honestly I don't think he wants to have to lift this monster off the wall, it weighs a ton. I'll order the parts he say's. Calls me the following day, the board will cost $119, OK order it!!! NO Problem I am happy, not too bad, the rest is covered. I THINK!!!

10 days go by and I still haven't heard anything. So I call the Warranty company, they tell me someone left a message, the technician can't get the part, I RECEIVED NO MESSAGE. OK so now I am told, YOU have to contact Whirlpool, and arrange a technician to check it out, and AGAIN, this will cost $129.00, which they will refund. I do just that, I call whirlpool, and after 30 minutes waiting for a reply I finally get to talk to a person, and we arrange an appointment, For the following Wednesday, Nobody turns up. I spend another 30 minutes waiting to get through. Finally I arrange another appointment for Friday 10th of Aug, The guy comes out and tells me the waveglide is melted, and the part is not available, so they can't fix it. $1100.00 3 yrs ago and it is KAPUT Does this sound good to you. What are Whirlpool doing, looks like a *** to me. I know technology is moving fast, but really 3 yrs ago, and a basic microwave part is NOT AVAILABLE..

I think to myself, OK I am covered on my Warranty, OH no because when I contact HOME LIFE Warranty Protection I am told, IF THE MICROWAVE IS NOT REPARABLE WE HAVE TO DENY YOUR CLAIM!!!!! Apparently it's in my contract, which is such small print it is virtually unreadable. (THINKS MAYBE THAT'S WHY THEY MAKE IT SO SMALL, SO YOU CANT BE BOTHERED TO GET A MAGNIFYING GLASS TO READ IT!!!!!!!).

So here I am I have no Microwave, it has cost me $55 to pay for a service call. And I have a Home Warranty that is not worth the paper it is written on, and There is *** ALL I can do about it.

The Moral of this story is, If you are thinking of paying out for a Home Warranty GET THE MAGNIFYING GLASS, and read the Contract, in fact Get on the phone and get them to talk you through it, That way you can save yourself some money. They don't cover Control boards, these things can cost HUNDREDS of dollars, and they are in virtually every electronic item in your House, Stove Microwave , Refrigerator, even the Toaster., If the part isn't available, NO PAYOUT. You will have to pay to replace it yourself. THINKS!! Why did I bother to pay for a HOME Warranty????? Could have saved myself Time, Energy, Disappointment, OH YES AND MONEY!!!!!!

I feel your pain because that's exactly what i'm experiencing right now with the same worthless home life warranty and the same product -Whirlpool Microwave (luckily it's not as expensive as yours) and exact the same issue "control board" not being covered under their top Elite Plan where it's suppose to cover mostly everything isn't covered by their Prestige plan "basic plan".

I wish i read your article and compliant before i subscribe with Home life warranty !!

Are you aware of that per home life warranty policy, any appliances older than 10 years isn't covered and is listed under their exclusions policy ?

***DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU KNOW YOUR APPLIANCE IS OLDER THAN 10 YEARS***

I am with American Home shield, They are an excellent company, I have had my contract for a year, They sent a man out and fixed my dishwasher, He spent 1 hr 30 mins, went through all the electrical schematics, and it is fixed, no waiting for parts, etc. They actually seem to have repair me who know what they are doing, and do the job well, 10 Stars.

Guest

I went with them because they were cheaper but $100 to fidelity. Now I regret it after reading all the reviews.

This company is a scam, stay away and use a company that is well known.

Worth the extra $100 a year to know you are covered versus arguing with a company that doesn't pay. Type in homelifeprotection reviews on Google and you'll see what I mean.

This seems to be a recurring theme with this company. I would avoid them at all costs.

I have a home warranty with American Home shield, They have a great contract, and they are fast and efficient, If something is not repairable, they send you a check to buy a replacement.
