Purchased a Frigidaire Suite from Home Everything in Brooklyn. Everything was great until 13 months after purchase $500 Microwave handle became loose called for repair was going to cost $500 to fix. So we fixed it with a little glue and it worked great for another 6 months. Now everything works, the lights, the fan it makes noise like it works but doesn't heat the food. I've owned serveral microwaves in the course of my life and none of them every broke and they were all cheap. This is the most expensive microwave I ever bought because I re did my kitchen and it broke. Now I'm stuck with a specific space to fill, which only this microwave has and will have to purchase another. We are all adults in this house nobody abused this microwave, in fact, when the guy came to repair it, he said it looked brand new. This was a lemon. The dishwasher also Frigidaire broke after 13 months also but thankfully I took out the extended service contract on that. I holding my breath on the Frig and the stove. Store can't seemed to be found perhaps they went out of business.

Absolutely the WORST On-line shopping experience I have ever Had. Lies, Lies and more Lies!

On 10/9/2011 I ordered a new Washing Machine. I had shopped several sites and this one had the best price. I had called or chatted with every site I visited EXCEPT this one. My Bad! After a couple of days, I logged in to check the status of my order, no status - so I called and was told by a live person that it takes 3 -4 weeks for an item to ship! Everyone else was 7 - 10 days. I patiently waited - while listening to the wife complain about the laundromat. Finally, on 11/8/2011 I again called and again spoke to a live person, who assured me he understood my frustration and he needed to check with his supervisor. He came back on the phone to guarantee me I would have my washer by Friday the 11th or at the absolute latest, Monday the 14th. On 11/10/2011 I noticed that my checkbook had more money than it should have and sure enough, home everything had done a refund. That is why they got one star. FAST FORWARD TO 11/14/2011 AND MY ACCOUNT IS NOW OVERDRAWN BECAUSE THE Rectal Portals WITHDREW THE $758.19 AGAIN. I THOUGHT IT WAS ODD OVER THE WEEKEND THAT I GOT AN E-MAIL FROM THEM TELLING ME THAT I SHOULD BE RECEIVING A REFUND (THAT I HAD ALREADY RECEIVED 2 DAYS PRIOR) BUT I DIDN'T THINK MUCH MORE ABOUT IT. THEIR E-MAIL SAID IF I DIDN'T GET IT WITHIN A WEEK TO 10 DAYS, I SHOULD INITIATE A CHARGEBACK. DID I THINK TO RETAIN THE E-MAIL, NOPE, I HAD MY MONEY SO I DUMPED THE E-MAIL. I AM SURE THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR NYS WOULD HAVE LIKE A COPY OF THAT! I WANT TO TAKE AWAY MY 1 STAR!!! I called another company and learned from their live person that the washer I ordered was on National Back-order from the manufacturer and had been for some time. They too did not have one in stock. He offered a slightly more expensive model but I chose to continue to shop and then Home Depot sent me an e-mail with their Black Friday Specials. I got a better machine for less. I ordered it yesterday from their web site and it will be delivered on Tuesday 11/15/2011 - they called me today to confirm! I won't do business with Home Everything again and I would encourage others to avoid them like the plague! All they had to do to make me a Happy Customer was tell me up-front in one of the several marketing e-mails or when I spoke to them that the washer was on back-order and I would have understood. They didn't, I spent over $100 taking clothes to the laundromat for the month that I waited and the best they could offer was "sorry".

Home Everything Failed to Issue Credit

I placed a $1200 order on 10/17. While their site prominently advertises 'free shipping', after I placed this order, I checked on the status several times and was told it would be 3 to 4 weeks before it was delivered. This, of course, was not advertised. Finally, I was told it was being shipped on 11/14. When I contacted www.homeeverything on 11/15 to make sure it was shipped, I was told the mdse. is on backorder and my order would be cancelled. So, it took almost 30 days to find out that I wasn't going to receive my mdse. And,then I checked my credit card to make sure I had not been charged. I was charged $1200 on 10/17, charged another $1200 on 11/17 and received a credit for $1200 on 11/17. So, I was still out $1200. When I contacted www.homeeverything about this. they responded that they were having difficulty issuing a credit and that I needed to dispute the $1200 transaction with my credit card company. I have spent valuable hours following up on status - and now I am spending time trying to get the credit on my account. I will NEVER do business with Home Everything again and I recommend that you dont either!

Ripped Off

I have a story similar to all the other bad reviews here. They immediately charged my credit card, and then never shipped anything but excuses. This place is a total scam. If you have been duped into "buying" from them, and then never receiving anything but excuses, then I encourage you to call the district attorney in Brooklyn NY and letting them know that you were the victim of fraud. Phone number (718) 250-****. When the DA gets enough complaints, they might investigate. They list their address as 1269 Coney Island Ave, Brooklyn, NY. Look it up on Google maps and look at the street view. It is a boarded up garage door between a Hebrew bookstore and Sunshine Electronics. Sunshine electronics' phone number is no longer in service. (you can read it right off of Google street view (718) 434-****) If you Google "Sunshine Electronics" together, you will find that Sunshine electronics is doing business as "". Look up old reviews on Sunshine electronics, and you will find bad reviews that sound just like all of those listed here - just for cameras instead of appliances. You might also want to look up their warehouse address on Google maps 445 Sills Road, CR 101 Unit 15, Yaphank, NY. That looks like an open field. Their other "legal address" 1202 Lexington Ave Suite 1000 Manhattan, NY is a post office box in a UPS store. I hope that this information is helpful to all prospective buyers and I also hope that all of you (us) who have been suckered by this scam will do the right thing and report your experience to the DA in Brooklyn. Phone number (718) 250-****. I am suspicious that all the good reviews were written by employees or participants.

I bought a new refrigerator and gas range in May 2009 from homeeverything and both appliances shipped fast, were well packed and arrived in perfect condition. I have them here in the kitchen even now.

What I SUSPECT happened is they went bankrupt over the winter of 2011, no surprise there- thousands of firms nationwide are going bankrupt due to the economy.

Complaints started around Sept 2011 or thereabouts from what I see.

What people forget is, homeeverything was a drop shipper like most of these outfits- they dont stock huge warehouses full of all these goods! they take your order, and send it on to the FACTORY or distributor who ships it to you. So if an outfit tells you they are shipping on a certain date and it doesnt, dont blame the retailer blame the factory or distributor or trucking co. A retailer cant ship an item any faster that they dont physically HAVE, and they have no control over that aspect.

If you didnt get the items ordered, it's NO big deal! seriously, you people need to get a life, it's so SIMPLE!- you just file a chargeback with your CREDIT CARD issuer and as soon as the issuer doesnt get a response from the company every cent of your money and interest is credited BACK to your account, so stop WHINING about it and use the power you have in your credit card that you are paying that high interest for- consumer protection.

HomeEverything is the WORST!!

Purchased refrigerator on 9/5 and was told it would ship in two weeks. Well after 4-1/2 weeks I was tired of being given the run around and told bogus dates of when my frig would ship. I called to cancel my order and was hung up on!! After reaching someone a second time, I was offered $50 off to keep the order going. I was absolutely done with this company so I continued with the cancellations. After a few business days passed, I sent an email wondering when I'd receive my money back. The customer "no-service" rep emailed me back saying, "oh thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'll submit this to our billing department so they can refund you in 5-7 days." Soooo...apparently you need to bring it to someone's attention that you want your money back! I guess this isn't an automatic given. All I have to say is stay away from this place. It's not worth it!

Homeeverything Charged My Card, Didn't Deliver, Still Waiting for Refund

BUYER BEWARE!!!! SCAM ALERT!! Like many others, I ordered appliances, waited forever, finally cancelled the order, and have yet to receive a refund of nearly $2000 charged to my card the second I placed the order. Before ordering, I even called to confirm that the dishwasher and cooktop I wanted were in stock. I placed the order and found that the estimated delivery time was three weeks later. Those dates came and went. I called with a question and spoke with an "I-could-care-less" customer service person, emailed and got an automated reply from "Joe" and, after reading similar horror stories by other customers, cancelled by phone and was told I would receive a refund in 3-5 days. I have yet to see a penny returned to my credit card. Essentially this company takes an order and can accrue interest on the money for months while the customer waits for delivery and then waits again for a refund after canceling in frustration. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE 5 STAR REVIEWS. With so many customers posting the same rip off scenario, it surely is not an occasional problem.

I had the same thing happen. I will never ever order from homeeverything again.

I hope people see this before they lose their money for months.

I had to get my bank to refund my money. I can't believe they actually charge your card and don't deliver the product.
