Home RX Only Works with Affluent Customers

I was contacted by Home RX after signing up on a site to have contractors call me for an addition to my home. The contractor came out and talked to us. Let us know he would get back to us with an estimate. After 2 weeks of not hearing from him I got back in contact and asked about the estimate. I was told the architect needed to see our place to give us an estimate but had been unable to contact us. No call came into our home that wasn't answered by us or our machine. I called the architect and was answered within hours. (why did they say he couldn't contact us?) The architect said he didn't need to come out and and I explained what I wanted done. I told him the same thing we had told every other contractor. That we needed to have him work with us to keep costs down. We know this will be very expensive and my husband will do some work himself. At this point the architect got a bit snooty and told me that his plans would be about $6000. I asked why it would be so hard to give me a cost on doing the shell of the house (floor, walls, roof, windows) and then a cost for the drywall and one for the insulation. He said without plans it wasn't possible to give us an estimate. I told him my husband could do some plans in not a lot of time. There were a few other things said that let me to say "so unless I have 50-100,000 to do this then (Grant) wont be able to do our work". He confirmed it. SOOOO unless you have a huge bank account don't contact Home RX.. They work only for the more affluent in the area!
