Home Interiors Furniture - Sudden material defect
Updated by user Nov 08, 2024

Hello, On 11-07-24 I went back to the furniture store only to find that they went out of business, windows blackened. I find it peculiar that the defects that surfaced on my cushion unexpectedly coincide with finding the store closed permanently?

This particular leather like couch has seating cushions that are unremovable so the whole couch frame would have to be reupholstered. Consumers beware of leather like furniture or you might be suddenly surprised unexpectedly.

I purchased this sofa late 2021 for $709.00 in my town Santa Rosa, CA The couch is attractive and seemed to me that it was made of leather. Many months later I went back to the store because nowhere on the sofa did it state what the material is.

The man who sold it to me looked it up and replied the material covering was made of polyester. I thought wow it looks and feels like leather.

Recently I could not believe my eyes on one out of two cushions was several stretch marks I thought well it was nothing I did nor anyone else. I tried phoning the store 11/05/24 only to get a recording the number has been changed and no new number is available.

Preferred solution: I plan to go into the store to let the manager know by showing him photos of this defect. I was not the cause nor anyone else.

User's recommendation: Beware of leather imitations!
