I had trouble with a Palliser leather recliner that I recently purchased. Problem was it wouldn’t consistently recline.

I had a serviceman out twice as the chair would not consistently recline, had the switch replaced and it still was a problem. Talked to the manager and he was great to work with.

Within a week, I had a new chair and I was a happy camper! That was the best customer service Ive ever received.

They finally got me someone to help me with knowing how to move the retractable frame I purchase. Thanks to the service woman at the desk at the Oakdale Store in MN.

Hom Furniture In Roseville, MN is Terrible

Hom Furniture in Roseville is terrible. They took my payment and then afterwards told me the product wasn't in stock.

I cancelled the order. It has been 7 days and still no refund. They have held my $600 hostage when the cancellation was due to their error. The error in question is so shady too.

Dollars to donuts says this guys knew ahead of time, but really wanted the sale. No mind that it has been a big inconvenience to me. Plus I called in yesterday and the lady said that they didn't process my refund until 2 days ago. This company doesn't care about it's guests, it has tons of negative reviews online.

The sales people here are not working with integrity.

HOM Furniture sucks and they don't care!

I recently bought a $799 Sitcom Edo King bed from their Woodbury, MN store. It was a Saturday night, 5pm. The Salesman, Bob, was ok, but not too enthusiastic. So with no real input from Bob, me and my wife liked the bed and purchased it. Of course they did not have it in stock at their store, the had it at their distribution center in CoonRapids, some 30+ miles away.

So I head out there that night, pick up the bed and get home, excited about getting this thing put up... Start assembling the bed, 80% of the screws are missing... The stores were closed for the night, so I call in the morning.

After at least 12 minutes on hold (no physical person answers the phone, you must go through a menu and wait) I get someone, explain the situation and get put on hold for another 15 minutes. Katie, from their CoonRapids service department says they will pull some beds and look for the screws for me. I was not rude, although I was pretty upset... you buy something for this much, you expect a bag of $5 dollar screws to be in there (the instructions say they should be).

I never get a call back, I have to call them another 2 times, wait on hold then Katie tells me that Their warehouse person is not finding any screws with the other same style beds either... Now, I can't imagine that I'm the first person, in all of the states where HOM operates, to buy this bed, so I assume they have heard of this problem right? No she says, happens once a Blue Moon... Anyways, now it 2 days and nights later, still no phone call and I am sleeping on a bed with basically just slats run across them, UNSCREWED; Headboard, UNSCREWED, support beams, UNSCREWED, ME, SCREWED.

Great customer service right? I will never buy from these unethical people again.

Nonstop Defective Furniture

We ordered a large amount of furniture at the end of February/beginning of March 2008. We still do not have all of our furniture in good condition; now at the end of July.

We are on couch #3 due to very obvious defects like a rip on the bottom of one and a weird lump on another. We just got our chaise lounge that was ordered 5 months ago and multiple buttons on the fabric are loose.

They went so far as to try to give us a display model of a sofa table. Quite obviously a display model when you leave the hang tag underneath. When they finally came to replace it, they had a damaged one. And the best part is that the delivery guy was going to try to somehow combine the two to make one nice table. No way. We paid good money for this furniture. We still have the display model- waiting for a good one. I guess I'm confused as to why you would not check the replacement table before delivery if you already knew the customer knows about your display model scam.

We ordered a nightstand that also had to be sent back because finish was coming off. We have nightstand #2 that I am considering sending back as well because the finish (which now is probably paint or laminate judging from some other blogs I read) is coming off of this one too. In weird spots; not where something would sit or rub.

Now we find a new charge on our statement from them & they tell us they bill as they deliver. Really? Because we have paid for everything right from day one before it was delivered- I have the statement to prove it. Except apparently for this chaise lounge that is now magically on its own pay plan.

Another thing about this chaise lounge- the really high quality company Hom does business with has apparently changed owners 3 times. We were given so many estimated delivery dates; unbelievable.

When we first had the issue with the couch, I thought it could just be a fluke or the company that makes it, but our furniture has come from at least 3 companies Hom does business with. There is absolutely no excuse for this.

We will never do business with them again. And everytime someone I know is going to be shopping for furniture, I have to tell them to stay away from Hom Furniture. Which I am sure they will after they hear this nightmare.
