Selling

Had several lots - when I received the report of items being sold I was taken aback as it only listed a few lots. After looking at the auction listing I found 4 additional but First had to prove they were mine.

1 I was not successful and threw up my hands - slow pay for an auction house by far. Not to mention there were several items that were not listed and never returned , including several civil war bullets.

Here is how this scam works

Fred Holabird or his team will give you fair appraisals of your asset.

Then they convince you to sell and sign away your rights,

Then they charge you excessive fees for printing a catalog.

they pocket that money because they own the LLC and print only a few catalogs,

Then they action off your stuff to themselves and there friends for pennies on the dollar.

Then they total up those pennies and deduct 40 percent auction fee.

Then the deduct excessive handling fees, shipping fees, packaging fees, insurance fees, and end the end your asset is gone, and you are left with less than 1 percent of the value. They will send you a catalog, that is very convincing as if they are actively marketing your item, they are not. Only the sellers get the catalogs, The showroom is a very small rented office building, it houses all of there employees, it is packed wall to wall with customers goods and there is no room for any customer let alone a room full of bidders. The business web site claims millions of dollars in business. while tax records show that Fred Holabird claimed only a few hundred thousand from all five of his limited Liability companies that he runs out of that same tiny office rental. Meanwhile a quick search of him online will unveil that he has offshore accounts uncovered by reporters investigating the Panama Papers, A quick online search will show how he Auctioned an Australian found gold nugget to his friends and then auctioned that same nugget as a California nugget for a cool half million profit. and if all of that does not convince you he is a crook, then you might want to read about his other one of a kind auction scams like the Custer Rifle, The First U.S. penny, The one in a million bottle, The one in a million Colt, all of these where common items that He and his friends misrepresent when they sell them to unsuspecting seniors. All of them fetched record prices Far beyond the actual value of the items. When the public got wise to these scams , Holabird began to auctioning to themselves. Don't worry though he is already changing his stripes, currently they Claim to have a secret method (only they can interpret) to determine the authenticity of your gold! Oh! and lets not forget they will gladly lese you any one of their dozens of Alaska gold claims. If you happened to work for the IRS and find this interesting, Feel free to contact me and I will gladly give your a box of files to prove all of these facts! 805712****
