Nonchalant after service

Bought a gate and the paint peeled 3 weeks after installation. Michelle, their correspondent, suggested to buy their paint to coat it when I brought up the issue to her. Total nonchalance, no apologies, no standing by the quality of their product, no warranty. Luckily I didn’t go for a full reno with them.

I had similar experiences with them, till now my sliding aluminum door is still not rectified or attended to. I had two toilets shower area done in 2018 by HO HO.

Super BAD service to attend to customer request for service. No show despite many repeated requests and promises....

Office Service staff attitude super BAD and RUDE. AVoid avoid avoid them

ya me too i bought a door and gate on Aug 2018 the guy who came to install my gate really attitude problem (like gangster). After a week my gate screw came off and the gate got sound when we close.

i call their sales staff Ms Vanny and tell her my problem at 1st she is nice and arrange appointment for another guy to come and fix it. but no show of the guy. i call again and the same things happen. after the 4time that i call she is so bloody rude and tell me off my face that tomorrow the guy is going over i tell her you need to let me know in advance as we all are working and need to take leave.

she just reply me off that you don't the same guy to service your door now i arrange another guy and he is going tomorrow. but on the next day its still the same gate guy that fit my gate. i just chase him away.

because i totally do not trust him and do not know what will he do to my gate again. the company is horrible

One of the black sheep in the market

Workmanship is terrible and all feedback have gone to deaf ear! Calling them is exasperating cos' they are only good at providing lip service. Just like someone has mentioned, stay away by all cost! Too bad I was fooled by their '30' year experience! Seriously, I wonder how they could have stayed so long with this kind of business attitude. Anyhow, you have been warned!

Installer is 2 hours late by now and still no sign of him. Called the company and they apparently have no control over it. Very bad customer service. Regret ordering from them.

Damaged my wall in the process of installing my bi fold door. Twice they arranged for rectification, twice they made me waited in vain without even calling to inform me they can't make it. The time when they finally came, their worker came with a silicon gun to patch up the wall of my concrete wall???! The story hasn't ended as the rectification was unaccepted. The worker left telling me he has no experience in painting and that he has no confidence to do a proper job. The most unprofessional contractor i have ever engaged. Wasted my time to rush home. Don't bother waiting for their return calls which on the line they will always tell you they will call you back in a moment. It will never happen! Not to mention that i have to clean my toilet and sweep the dirt they created during the installation. Since they have wasted so much of my time, i will not be stingy to share my experience in the cyber world. The story will not stop here until they do a proper and satisfactory rectification for the damaged they have caused.

It's like I am paying for my own services

I made purchases for the following (price includes the installation of the items purchased): 1. Wrought iron gate(model HH38) 2. Wooden door (model number H52) 3. Digital Yale lock (model number YDR3109) for the wooden door 4. Acrylic tree bark design panel for the main gate that covers all the way to the keyhole portion 5. Ace lever for master-bedroom door Our first visit to the Expo to make the above mentioned purchases were met by a young salesman who did not tell us about the option we have to galvanise our iron gate and did not show us samples of the acrylic panels and the designs available. Upon purchase of the above mentioned items on 17 May 2015, I was told that someone would call me on Monday (18 May) to inform me when would workers come down to take measurements for the main gate and wooden door, the call only came on Tuesday. It was then agreed upon that measurements would be taken on Friday, 22 May 2015 and that someone has to be at home to open the door for measurements to be taken from the inside for the wooden door. The workers who were to take the measurements came on Thursday, a day ahead of the scheduled day. We made our second visit to the Expo on 23 May 2015 to change our order of the Yale lock from YDR 3110 to YDR 3109, after I made a call on Friday 22 May 2015 to enquire if we could do so. A sales rep told me that we could go over and request for the change. On 23 May 2015, we spoke to a young saleslady and were informed of the option we have to galvanise our iron gate which we chose to do and paid for the differences for the galvanizing and the change in lock model on the spot. We were also shown on the same day, the different designs of acrylic panels and decided upon the clear coloured tree bark design. These three changes were documented on the invoices by the saleslady and she took photos of the invoices after having made me initialise against the changes. She assured me that she would call me on Monday, 25 May 2015, to confirm the date for the installation. She never did. Installation for the lever lock was scheduled on 22 May 2015 in the afternoon at 1700 hours and their contractor never came and never called to inform us that he was not able to make it. I wasted a day of leave at home waiting for nothing. I had to call to ask and was given the contractor's number. I paid them the money, but had to call on my own to do the chasing. After having called him multiple times as he did not pick up the first few calls, he came at 2100 hours, hours past the scheduled time. The lock that was installed is malfunctioning at times and I called their office to inform them about it several times, I was told that someone would come and have a look at it on 3 June 2015 but till date, no one has come to resolve this issue. Instead of getting a call on 25 May as per agreed at the Expo, I received a call on 30 May 2015 to confirm installation date as 3 June 2015, between 1500 to 1600 hours. However, I received a call from their office on 2 June 2015 to confirm that installation date and time would be 3 June 2015, between 0900 to 1000 hours, which I corrected to be the afternoon slot instead. And instead of the agreed time of 1500 hours, I was asked if they could come earlier at 1430 hours, and I agreed. That same day (2 June 2015), I received a call from Yale informing me that the installation of the lock was to be done on 3 June between 0900 to 1000 hours (they were told of the time to come by Ho Ho). Again, I had to call their office multiple times to correct the appointment time. For some reasons unknown, I received a call from Ho Ho's contractors on 3 June 2015 at 1053 hours informing me that they would reach at 1130 hours. I think my patience threshold has reached a new high dealing with their company and their lack of responsibility to co-ordinate and facilitate installation timings. On 3 June 2015, the contractors never came till 1530 hours SO WHY IN THE FIRST PLACE DID THEY ASK FOR ME TO PUSH FORWARD THE TIMING AND TO EXPECT THEM AT 1430 HOURS??? Again, I had to call their office and ask if they were coming. On a sidenote, we made a purchase for an extra card for the digital door lock and that extra card never came on 3 June 2015. After calling them at the office and some finger-pointing towards Yale, I was told to call Yale to ask about it. So, money is paid to Ho Ho, yet I have to do the calling AGAIN, like when I have to call their contractor and ask if he is coming to do the lever lock. It was finally Ho Ho's sales rep who called Yale, only because she did not know what reference should I give Yale should I be the one to call. After the installation of the gate and wooden door was completed, their contractor told us that the acrylic panel was out of stock and that it would not be installed on the same day. I called their office and was told that the contractor forgot to bring the panel and that the panel could still be put up on 3 June 2015. The sales rep said she would call the contractor to check and call me back. AGAIN, I had to call her back as she did not call me. So it turned out, there was no stock for the panel and she said she would call me to let me know when the panel would arrive and which date would the panel be put up. No, I had to call SEVERAL times as she did not call me back even though she promised that she would call me by a certain timing agreed upon. All these promises of calling me by a certain time were never met. And each time I called after the agreed upon time, she told me she was busy as there were many calls directed to her and she has yet to check for me if the panels would be ready. Am I not made even busier cause of them?? I have to work and chase them for all the work that's yet to be completed. Finally she called after so many rounds of chasing from me and told me that the panel is available and can be installed on 6 June 2015. The person who was to install it came beyond the agreed time and CAME WITH THE WRONG DESIGN. When I called to check their office again, the sales rep could not find my invoice. How it is possible for their staff to be in office and yet not be able to find the invoices is beyond my understanding. Till date, I am pending my clear colour tree bark acrylic panel to be delivered and installed and for my card for the Yale lock which was said to be mailed out on Friday 5 June in the morning according to the words of the sales rep and for someone to come and fix my malfunctioning lever lock. (Update: They arranged for the panel to be delivered and installed tomorrow. I hope nothing goes wrong) Oh and by the way, you can by all means send them emails but whether or not they reply you is a total different story. Hi, HO HO Engineering and Renovation Workers are very good because My friend give them some work and they complete work very perfectly and I am also thinking to give them some work for my house because I am working in an IHI E&C International Corporation Company and because of these maximum time I am going to one city to another city that's why I was finding Engineering and Renovation Workers which are doing work with me or without me . because I am traveling maximum time because of work and I don't have much time to see every time their work .

sub -standard product and claimed its industry practice. have you seen a metal gate without proper locking system? industry practice, you buy door not necessary comes with lock?

failed to deliver and did not even bother to follow up.

Apparently it is a fake comment. My experience with Ho Ho is very bad too....they dont have after sales service at all.No show twice for measurement, not even care to give you a call to explain or apologise. Worst thing is they delay the installement which may also delay my move in schedule!!!

Hoho engineering poor workmanship, attitute and customer serivice

I signed up 1700 dollar of contract to remove 3 wooden door and 2 toilet door with HOHO Engineerging during a roadshow in a shopping mall in the east. That was my biggest mistake. I should have known when the saleperson were all unfriendly and arrogant. But i was busy and was eager to change the door and i thought how bad can it get with someone who is 34 years in the business. This proof to be a nightmare and i could only blame it on my luck and for not checking this company reputation in the internet. I am writing this for the benefit of all potential bro and sis out there who have the intend to engage them. 1) First of all, they overcharge. for this i can only blame it for not checking with other company before signing. I am sure other company can provide a much better quote. 2) When they start tearing down the first toilet door and put up the new door. I find it wierd and it seem that it is opening from the wrong side as i am not able to use my sink when the door is open. What pissed me off is that the lead kept quiet and only when i tell him that something dun seem right and explained, then he acknowledge and remove it and start calling the office. Why do i need to pay money and check your work and tell you where goes wrong. What if it is my wife who is left at home, she may not know. I pay and i should trust the contractor to know what to do and not something *** like this and keep mumb when something is ridiculously wrong. 3) Next another two person came and start removing and replacing the wooden door for the three rooms. To my dismay, my light coloured door has patches of black stain all over the door and there is no protective bubble wrapped or whatsoever to protect the door. I paid 380 door for each door and this is the quality i am getting. Worst is not over, i notice one of the door edges has crack and chip off mark and the lead tell me this is ok and he can fix it. When i enquire further in a nice tone on how he is going to fix it, he gave me a lousy explanation basically to brush it off. what put me off is he raised his voice and tell me that the most he pay a new door for me. He totally dun get what i meant, I already paid for the door and i dun need him to pay me, i just want him to fix it. Btw his name is ah Seng. I check the door further and found other areas with laminate crack off and this door looks like a used door. When i showed him the crack, he agreed that he will change the door and that will take some time. But dun know when. 3) WHen they were taking off one of the door from the master bedroom, my guess is because they left the last screw dangling there with the full weight of the door pressing on that screw causing the the screw to stuck in the threaded hole. His assitance use all his might and cross threaded the hole and even flathen the surface of the screw until there is no grip for the screw driver to turn. AS this is a stainless steel screw, they were not able to drill off the screw and they have to cut it off. to my dismay, with all the hammechipping work, they damage my door frame. I need to do DIY shop and remove the door hinges myself and repaint to prevent it from rusting. It is a total *** job. 4) I told ah Seng to ask Jennifer to call me back but no one call me back after i waited for 4 hrs. I called the office and no one pick up. What kind of contractor is this. No one call to tell me what is the arrangement and what am i suppose to do. Now the work is not even half way done and i took leave and i do not when they can fix the rest of the stuff. No one bother to call me to explain or even apologise. I am totally fustrated. I paid a deposit of 800 dollar for the total cost of 1700. This is totally unacceptable. I am wondering how can such a *** contractor survive for 34 years in industry with this type of attitude and service and workmanship.

RUDE, HALF-WAY ON PHONE CONVERSATION THE STAFF TERMINATE THE PHONE.DOES NOT HONOURED THE DATES OF SERVICE.

IT'S REALLY REALLY A NIGHTMARE DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY .

THE COMPANY SHOULD REPLACE THE STAFF IF THEY WANT A GOOD REPUTATION IN THE MARKET TO GROW BUSINESS.

At Expo was told top of Bi-fold fixed with bearing type of roller cost $180 but when installed, type is of the plastic. Called and the lady said bearing type cost $230 and for $170 (discounted when I replaced both toilet doors) only plastic.

Must top-up if I want the bearing type.

Kan-na mis-lead. So everyone should avoid them.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with services I received from Ho Ho Engineering And Renovation Works at No.51 Kaki Bukit Industrial Terrace, Singapore 416131.As the order was made on 1st March 2008, the Company (Ho Ho Engineering and Renovation Works) agreed to our request that any measurement or installation will be done in any Saturday.It has been agreed by both parties that ALL installation of Wrought Iron Door, Bi fold door and Window Panel shall be done on 5th April 2008, but someone from the Company called to cancel the installation. I have made thing clear that I need the job to be done ONLY on Saturday. The company did not answer my calls. They only gave one number which hard we can contact.

Terrible service!!!! Call last min that unable to come as their worker accidentally cut his hand.

My story:

They install inferior quality door and gate, not to comment much on their methods of installation by bending the gate into place instead of plumb for squareness. Rusts found on gate and deposit out of the bottom only into their first month.

They are smart to exhibit in those EXPO renovation exhibition which make people believed they are good quality contractor. Don’t expect for prompt after-sale service, for I’ve been calling them for a month since!

So buyer beware, they are not really cheap (they are competitive) but quality and service is not there.

I've just had a nasty experience with them too. It's now 2010.

Took my $179, bad service, didn't do anything and refused to refund. Small fish also they want to ***.

I had the office and mobile numbers. Office number no answer, mobile calls were rejected.
