The wait time is way too long
- - Ordered a 4 lb bracket on 04/05/2017; tracking shows 7-day delay.
- - Will not order from Hitch Source again; customer service is poor.
I ordered a bracket 04/05/2017. It weighs 4 lbs and it is taking at least 7 days to get here, according to the tracking number.
I ordered the reflex steering stabilizer from Amazon and got that within two days. I ordered a 12 volt freezer after i ordered this bracket and received that as well. I think I could have gotten it through the snail mail faster than this. There is no excuse for this time delay, none, for a part that weighs 4 lbs.
In todays market there is no reason to have this kind of delay.
I don't think i will order from Hitch Source again. The customer service has to be one of the worst.
- Time it is taking to get to me
Resolved: Blue Ox Sway Pro for Airstream
- - 9-hole shank for the Airstream caused clearance issues.
- - Coupler height: 17¾ in, under 5 in clearance.
- - U-bolts and sway parts risk damage on dips.
Purchased a Blue Ox Sway Pro and special ball for our new Airstream. Hitch Source stated that a 9 hole shank was needed for the Airstream. Ground clearance became the obvious problem. All Airstreams have 17 3/4 inch coupler height. The Blue Ox hitch takes up 12+ inches below the ball leaving less 5 inches clearance on level ground. The most critical part of this hitch system, exposed to driveway & highway dips, are the U-Bolts of which the chains are attached that hold the sway bars in place. The damage and potential hitch failure was caught in time.
Blue Ox & Hitch Source wanted to see pictures, sent, no reply, messages left un-answered. Always given the same reply, will get back. I personally felt mislead from the beginning. My concern was validated from an Airstream dealer. This particular hitch system not recognized / recommended for their trailers. Should have done more investigating prior to purchase.
A positive note to Blue Ox, this hitch did work as advertised until my first encounter with a normal driveway. In my opinion this hitch would work on a trailer with a coupler height greater than 20+ inches, Airstream owners beware.
In the mean time Hitch Source wins, I'm out $700.00 until I find a buyer. I do have pictures except this web site states they are to large to attach. I'm retired / older and do not know how to re-size a picture to post.
Bottom-line, do your homework. Talk with your trailer manufacturer before believing a sales person as the know all source.

Hitch Source False Info, no returns and bad customer service
- - Order over $200; a $23 item was mislabeled on the site.
- - Return denied after 26 days; unopened item.
- - Poor packaging; hitch box opened; items damaged.
Stay away from Hitch Source.
I placed an order for over $200.
One $23 item I ordered was mislabeled on their website. I called the manufacturer and they agreed and said they didn't make a product for my situation. I then researched and found one made by a different manufacturer but realized that Hitch Source didn't sell it so I thought I would just do a simple return.
When I called to see about a return the representative immediately became defensive and argued with me about the mislabeling. When I pointed out that I had called the manufacturer and they had agreed that it was incorrectly labeled by the seller, the representative became combative and refused to accept return because it had been over 20 days. (I received the product approximately 26 days before)
Even though item was unopened, in perfect condition, I would be paying return shipping and had been sold under false information, they refused to accept return.
If the item had been labeled correctly I would have continued searching until I found the correct product.
Also the packaging was pretty bad. They opened the hitch box and loosely tossed in the other items I ordered which included some delicate items. Many things were scraped and the hitch itself was poking through the box and banged up.
Summary:
Price-OK (Slightly cheaper than others)
Packaging-Bad (No protective packaging at all)
Customer Service-Horrible (actually non existent)
Return Policy-Restrictive (20 Days E-Trailer is 60 days)
Product Selection- Limited (Didn't carry the correct product for my situation)
Hitchsource.com Failed to notify of backorder and then did not ship on time
- - Part was backordered and not disclosed.
- - Promised by Tuesday after Labor Day, but arrived Thursday.
- - Delay caused me to miss a family wedding.
I ordered a hitch for my GEO Tracker from Hitchsource.com. I was told the part would arrive on a Thursday. Friday, no part, so I called and was told the part was backordered. Never told that when I ordered it. I informed them that I needed to leave for a trip on the following Tuesday following Labor Day weekend. I was told I would have it on that Tuesday. After checking tracking, the part was not scheduled to arrive until Thursday. The part did not arrive until Thursday causing me to miss a family wedding.
They could have informed me they did not have the part in stock when I ordered it. Very poor customer service.

This issue has been satisfactorily resolved.
Thank you Hitch Source & Blue Ox
Results;
A half ton pickup needs a 7 hole shank, a no rise ball along with lower rating WD bars (closer to the actual tongue weight)
Thank You
All Blue Ox hitch shanks are reversible, so perhaps reversing the 9 hole would fix the problem. Salesman should have sold you the 7 hole shank on the first place. Sounds like the sales guy screwed you up, not Blue Ox.
