Request for necessary maintenance ignored

My daughter, Sarah Sexton, and two friends leased an apartment from Highpointe in August of 2012. During move-in we drafted a list of items needing attention which included holes completely through the kitchen floor revealing the concrete beneath, dampness in a bathroom which had caused the trim to release which revealed mold and mildew beneath.

Following a submittal of our list we called by phone to follow up and were put off by comments such as "It was good enough for the previous tenants." To this date nothing has been done to resolve the problems. I would think that the mildew alone would be cause enough for concern.

I sent an e-mail to Highpointe last week requesting contact regarding our complaint but to this date I have received no response. How should I proceed from here?
