Verified ReviewerCharging Port Broke & Fried Circuit Board
I recently bought a Hiboy S2 Pro Electric Scooter and unfortunately have suffered a catastrophic failure. The charging port that holds the rod in place for proper charging broke, causing the rod to dislodge and come into contact with the circuit board (or the LED speedometer faceplate) where all the wires are connected.
It came into contact with that part, causing it to have an electrical surge which fried the circuit board and rendered the scooter non-functional. I push the power button and it now makes no sound. The only lights to come on are the brake light, the headlight, and the underneath running lights. Other than that, nothing else works—no brakes, no acceleration, no speedometer.
Also, the charger that came with my unit seems to get unnaturally hot when used. It gets so hot that it becomes uncomfortable to handle with bare hands. I'm afraid this might also cause a fire hazard in the future.
Please tell me what I need to do to get my scooter up and running again, as I have used my scooter often and frequently and not having it is causing difficulty in commuting. Thank you for your time.

Preferred solution: Replacement parts and diagnostic repair solution. Or a new scooter that should be covered under the warranty i purchased

Open the box after it was stored for a year and started to put it together and found out that there are part's missing and I contacted them email and they said fine send us pictures and and a list which I have but haven't heard anything back.missing handle bar clamp 4 washers and 4 bolts and 1 rear sprocket assembly is loose and no hardware also need a diagram of how to assemble it and 1 rear wheel nut no charger

Terrible Product & Terrible Customer Support
I've had my scooter for about 3 years, though I've only used it, maybe a collective 3 hours. Very little use.
My seat broke and hiboy will not respond to my email.
When I called, they returned the call and hung up on me when I was trying to ask what part I need to order. A SHAMEFUL COMPANY!!!

They said the shipment would arrive in 7-10 days. A week later they still hadn't shipped.
I couldn't reach anyone on the phone during business hours. The only reply to my email would come around 2AM - THEY WORK VERY HARD TO DELIVER MINIMAL SERVICE.
Regarding the shipping - this is the really lame answer they sent me (and bear in mind - This is now Memorial DAY - a week after the order was placed - and they were running a full-on media blitz to generate more volume)

"We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Due to a large volume of orders recently, our warehouse is still processing your order."
So Lame... So disingenuous.
And I told them the same. So then . . .
also at 2:30 AM - they sent "take or leave it" kind of message:
"Are you willing to wait for the shipment? If yes ,we will send a mobile phone holder as a gift for you.
If you prefer to cancel the order, we will process the refund for you."
I told them I felt trapped and would keep the order - but please remedy their delay in shipping. It still didn't ship for another 4 days.
Then - instead of the phone holder - THEY SENT ME 1,100 POINTS shop shop (equivalent to $10US - BUT THEY CHARGE $30 for the phone holder)
They're just this really horrible, all--to-common post-pandemic service story of a company who cares little about the customer, the customer's experience - but care very much about the minimal effort they can place on the perception of the exact opposite.
It's like they just want to pretend the world is stupid.

Hi the scooter works fine I believe it had a bad connection on the wire harness on the steering column, reconnected it and it works fine if i have any more issues ill reach out to you thanks i love the scooter.

I ordered the wrong battery from high boy which they say Is non refundable, I paid $400 for it.all I want is my refund, I already went back on hiboy and ordered the correct battery for $200. This isn't right at all.

I purchased a new S2 scooter package (2) . They were x mas present One turned on when charges 2nd one will not turn on after charged.
It has no power after full timeframe of charged. Ive contacted your company via email chat and phone to get minimal response or effort to help in my brand new scooter not working. I spoke to Joe after 3 days of phone calls he responded to tell me he cant help me and there are no live people to speak to . Ive provided all information about purchased date and invoice number and was told bc I bought on your sale for Black Friday I can not return or exchange for a working scooter.
It was an x mas press I would never have known it was broke until box was opened by my child and was completely disappointed by it. Your customer service has been useless
