Oil consumption

Regular oil change 3000 miles...no oil on dipstick...no leaks...service dept at hernsteins kia says kia guidelines are use quart every 1000 miles therefore cant do anything...i feel an engine this new should not b burning oil...somethings wrong internally...it also has b slipping since i bought it as to kicking in..they told me it will b noted...just not satisfied with the service...i worked in the auto manufacturing...ford products...im familiar with how this works...get them on the road..we will worry about defects later..

I would lend more credence to your complaint were it not so poorly written.

A quart of oil per 1000 miles is miserable performance and reminds me of my Dad's story about his '35 Ford : "fill the oil and check the gas, please."

Unacceptable performance from a modern correctly functioning vehicle.

When my wife went to check out Kias, all the staff could do was argue over who was going to lunch and who had to wait on "this woman".

She bought a Volvo.

It uses oil for lubrication, not air pollution. No extra charge for oil changes at scheduled intervals (not 1000 miles).
