This company is a huge scam. Using them was the worst decision of our lives. My wife and I recently used Hercules moving systems to move to Hawaii. Our quoted price increased by $3,000. when the truck was loaded. I found out later that this over charge on cubic footage of material was completely false. Our belongings sat around unnecessarily in port for almost two months. When they finally arrived the faulty shipping container had let water in for the entire time. Needless to say many of our things had been ruined. When the delivery truck arrived I had to comfort my crying wife as all of her grandmothers broken china was offloaded. There has been no accountability or honesty at any point in dealing with this company. I wouldn't wish them upon anyone

I wish I could give a negative star. Don't waste your time or money on this company!!! The movers were extremely friendly & polite, they were the BEST! The moving company is ***! We moved out of state & our stuff was over 3 weeks late, almost everything was bent or broken & they even lost one of our dressers. They said they would compensate us by giving us a check for $115. Screw that! They've taken almost everything from us. All of our boxes were smashed & almost flattened, our dining room chairs are broken, our plastic totes are broken, our sons chair is broken. Our washer & dryer and bent & the soap dish was broken off (these were newer appliances) We shipped our car through a company with Hercules & they didn't give the driver any paperwork or anything & just expected me to hand over my car, then when I called them, he yelled at me for not giving them my car. This is the SHADIEST company ever & I will blast them on every website I can to help save you the time & the headache of dealing with them. Beware! They will scam you! I wish I would have listened to my gut about them & then I wouldn't have a bunch of junk that used to be my nice things.

Hercules Moving Systems - Hercules Moving Service Review from Gloucester City, New Jersey

SCAM SCAM SCAM The only thing they got right was making my move MORE STRESSFUL. The worst experience of my life. There initial quote changed as soon as the movers arrived. I called dispatch to review the NEW charges and the "management" threatened to dump my stuff on the ground and keep it moving to the next job. Not only did they just flat out lie for there bid, but they milked me for more and more money every hour threatening to leave. I paid double what I was originally quoted and I still have to hire someone else to complete my move. I am totally underwhelmed with the company. I would love to meet who ever is "management" at Hercules moving company in Pikesville MD. Moving is already stressful they did nothing but make it worse. The movers arrived about a hour and a half late. Changed the price. And after three hours the crew began to claim management request me to pay now or the move was over. i called the police and finally got a signed copy of a contract.... SCAM SCAM SCAM

Hercules Damaged All of our Property By Throwing everything into a storage unit without any tape/blankets or packaging that was supposed to be used to setup the careful way it was packed initially. Over $200,000-$500,000 in damage items that look like they are garage sale ready & used for 15 years when they are brand new expensive items and/or items we cannot get again from the Chicago Merchandise Mart through a Decorator. Our personal belongings are also there and we will not take possession of any of this until insurance companies are involved with both Hercules and Kihei Storage Center on Lipoa.

Not only did Hercules fill in charges after I signed the forms to make it appear that I AGREED to pay an additional $300, they are holding my property in California stating that they have no trucks available for delivery to charge for extra storage. They refuse to acknowledge the proof I sent them that they asked for showing the EXACT AMOUNT I AGREED TO PAY ON THEIR OWN INVOICE. Then put a hold on my delivery under the excuse that I contest the amount of charges but didn't say that to me until today, because they are trying to get beyond the allotted 45 days so they can change more for daily storage. They keep that within the company to use against me but they let it slip today & said "We'll call you back" but refuse to do so. Then they don't take my calls! All they keep saying to me is there are no available trucks which is a lie. They are trying to get storage fees for the items they REFUSE to deliver. CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY!!! ANYONE WISHING TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, PLEASE CONTACT ME. Thank you! WE DESERVE JUSTICE!!!

I am researching my options for a class action against hercules moving system. I moved October of 2014 and am still dealing with there ridiculous settlement offers October 2015 for my lost and damaged goods, and property damage I sustained using hercules.

Same issue with the storage markup--wanted more to 'store' my items which were 6 weeks late ----I had to wait 4 weeks & change my flights in Hawaii & still only my car came which also had damages from their 3rd party provider---Ronnie---who just hangs up on you & doesn't remember that we filed an insurance claim last October 2014 for the car damages

Avoid at all costs!

Terrible company, borders on fraud.! They gave us an initial quote which we declined. They then provided a "better" offer. Rather than send the container we agreed on, the sent a moving van, so we could not track how much space we used. Lo and behold, they claimed we used more than contracted and charged us the initial amount ($2700 additional), which was obviously the plan all along. They do not return phone calls or emails once they have your business. They did not communicate when our furniture would arrive and delivered it the very last day permissible by law. Loaders on both ends were great, but once Hercules makes the sale, this company could care less about you. We are disputing a charge made and they will not respond. I should also note that they did not pick up our furniture on the dates agreed upon, causing a great deal of stress since we had sold our house and had to vacate. If I knew then what I know now, I would not consider using this company.

After receiving my goods, I found that they had TAPED my antique wood bureau after prying off peices, tore my temperpedic mattress and box springs, lost my business clothes, broke my dryer and other items, I was told to file a claim with their insurance carrier. What a joke that was, after waiting for 4 months I get an offer of about $200 for the damages on behalf of Hercules. No lie people, take the advice and go with Atlas or another BBB 4star rating company They really need to be investigated as these are the movers 48hours warns you about.

Worst Moving Company Ever!

I am embarresed to have used this company! After being quoted under $2500 for a 2400 mile move, me and my husband thought we couldn't be any luckier. Boy were we nieve.( My husband had just returned from being stationed in South Korea for a year and we had a deadline for our move.) The movers were rude and very sloppy with how they packed our things. In the end we owed them over $5900. The customer service was horrible!! We were finally pushed into making a deal with them that involved us picking up our own things from a storage in town. When we went to do so we found out that the driver had put the units in his own name, giving us no authority over our property. BTW this was over two months after we had moved. Long story short, we loaded and unloaded our thing only to find that half our property wasn't there, the boxes that were there were destroyed along with nearly everything inside, *** in our fridge ( how the heck did they even do that?), our head board scratched and dented, and the list just goes on and on. We have been leaving messages and have requested a claim form but, by no surprise AT ALL, they have been the opposite of helpful. We have decided to get a lawyer and take things further. I have no idea how a buisness like this can stay afloat but I do plan to find out. Do not use Hercules Moving Company.

Herculas movers increased price two days before my move - incompitant

I booked herculas moving company for my move on March 2012.for August 10th.Paid a $100 deposit. Two days before the dispatch guy, *** named Barak called and told me that the price has gone up $300. Apparently Michelle's ( on leave) and Drew's (new guy) quote was incorrect. For 5 months nobody checked the quote . I strongly recommend people not to use herculas moving company. They have no integrity and are very inconsiderate and no consideration for the customer. Lucky for me I found another company. I will pay them the money but not Hercules moving company.

Take my advice and stay clear of this company! I went through *** trying to keep them honoring the "Binding Quote" that they say they guarantee! They tried to say I had more than I was quoted, they tried to charge a higher delivery because their 54' truck wouldn't fit in the apartment complex. They tried to deliver my furniture a week before my contracted date, which I didn't have my new place until when I told them! In the end they broke my dishes which were all labeled "Fragile" and in dish pac style boxes. They put a big dent across my Stainless Steel BBQ, bent in a 4-drawer file cabinet like a squeezed pop can. Damaged my entertainment center, tool boxes, bedroom dresser, along with other living room furniture. They claim they are not responsible for damage in boxes that they don't pack. They're insurance provider (Anthem) says that any pressed wood furniture is not covered. But they are ignoring the pictures provided that show split solid wood, with grain!! Thomasville bedroom set is my loss! I've been waiting on a settlement since January and they still have not responded to my requests! Dot#168**** Funny how many complaints sound just like mine, but someone like a company worker slips in a nice one on occasion- which is totally out of pattern. BBB rates them as "F".

If you use this company you are crazy! Hercules’ service on my move from Hawaii to Florida was atrocious. First of all, the estimated charge they gave me by email was $5,200. My wife and I did almost all the packing ourselves. Their movers blanketed the furniture and boxed a few large items such as our mattress and box spring. The actual cost that was presented after the truck was loaded was $9,975. We had no choice but to accept it since our escrow was closing in 2 days and we were leaving on a plane the next day. Obviously, I should have done my homework beforehand because I have subsequently found out that this type of deception is a common practice for this company.

Be that as it may, I would have opted to just forgo the bad judgment on my part and their questionable business practices if they had not lost some of our items during the move. Among those missing were ALL of our priceless family photos, videos, and mementos from 46 years of marriage. Included in those were some documents such as my college diploma and master’s degree certificate and pictures from my wife’s and my childhood. Also unacceptable was the 47 days it took to receive our shipment here in Florida (July 18 to September 3). This was 6 days over the maximum time they said it would take and much longer than they advertise on their website. Our possessions went from Hawaii to California by ship and obviously sat in Los Angeles for several weeks before they decided to truck them to Florida. We contacted them several times during that period, and they said they did not know when they would be loaded and sent. They were waiting for other shipments going that way.

When the truck showed up at our new Florida residence (very late in the day), they carried the items into the house, but they did no unwrapping of the furniture. My wife and I had to remove ALL of the blankets so they could take them back on the truck. The day after we finally did receive our delivery, I contacted their customer service department (the first of several times) regarding the missing boxes. I got the usual “brush-off” promises to look for them, but after almost two months, no one had gotten back to me. They did tell me that if they could not be found, I could file a claim and I would be reimbursed. I asked them how I could put a price on a lifetime of family photos and memorabilia. The only answer I got was the clause in the contract that relegates them to paying 60 cents per pound for damaged or missing items. Swell! If I have 20 pounds of photos I get a grand total of $12. I filed a formal complaint with the U.S. Dept of Transportation. In their response letter they stated they would forward my complaint to Hercules and urge them to contact me. Of course, that never happened.

I wrote a letter to company officials, and that was never responded to. I also contacted two attorneys, and neither one was optimistic about ever collecting anything from Hercules.

One aspect that works against ever finding my possessions is that with this company, the shipment is loaded, unloaded, and reloaded several times in this distance of move. It is obvious to me that, being faced with misplaced or unidentified items due to all the packing and repacking, they dump them or steal them. This company’s lack of concern regarding our family treasures is deplorable and, to us, completely unforgiveable. I strongly implore you to NOT use Hercules Moving Systems for your move.

May I add they are thieves!!!! They stole things out of my boxes and "lost" my electronics...funny how the dishes did not go missing...but the Bose surround sound "set" did......
