Against our wishes

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My husband has legal papers with his wishes , I also have power of attorney and medical advocacy papers form our attorney. My husband also signed in the past these same wants and nominated me to make medical decisions for him if he cannot.

I received a call at 2:30am and told me hes not doing well and the Ethics Committee over ruled our decisions on Aug 26, 2024 (over a week ago) and this is the first they are telling us this! I was told by our attorney that the state has allowed hospitals to make these choices against our wishes since Covid started and has not taken back control. I have filed several complaints over the past few weeks in regards to the Doctors not keeping me updated or even taking requests for updates. That has gone nowhere !

Worst hospital we have been to. Literally making our choices to live or die.

Never been happy with the Dr.'s care at the outside offices, they treat you like a medical # and main concern is how to make $$ off of your treatment. I.E.

prescribing TV ad medications (Jardiance) when there was no diabetes involved only to make a big "kick-back". That drug is $400 out of pocket so clearly the Dr. was not concerned about senior citizen patient on Soc.

security. Absolutely criminal !

Service has not changed! Went to emergency a week later and had to struggle to get out of the car get get MYSELF into a wheelchair!

I was there from 12:28 til almost ten pm. Was in a hallway.. staff was wonderful. My nurse Angie was working so hard.

Loved her snd Matt. It would have been nice to get maybe a cracker or water? WTH? This is not the Henry Ford Hospital I remember.

Called HFHS in Plymouth and asked if they were busy? They stated they could not give that information over the phone!!!!! Took more pictures of over crowded waiting room! If more people came in they would have to sit on the floor!

Why didn’t I go to Trinity Saint Mary’s down the street? Really bad decision I guess!

No update or follow up by the doctor

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had my annual physical done at Henry Ford Health during this I had raised a concern about my hair loss. The doctor said to wait until we get the results from the tests and then we can discuss.

It has been over a month, I have sent the doctor 3 messages on MyChart and there is no update.

Dr-Fraud

Dr Arjun Dupati and Apollo office when called to set up appt lied about standard procedure that they said he could do, flagrant fraud and theft,...a liar-their owned taped call verifies 100%, repeatedly with precision defined no greys procedure needed, most experienced dermatologists can do this procedure (had to rush emergency appt with a ethical and legitimate dermatologist somewhere else), in addition did not price out appt and grossly price gouged (amongst other parties involved in this atrocity American Academy of Dermatologist confirmed), especially in the context of communicated no insurance and an imperative endpoint timeline approaching, obviously would not made appt if didn't do the procedure, repeated requests and have not refunded, scam, no moral compass, cowardliness, "targeting and preying" on the most vulnerable is 100% opposite of American values and ethics...Dr Arjun Dupati and Apollo Practice bought and paid for alternative fact boil on the face of humanity

Cardiac care a absolute disgrace

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Let see. Didn't even see a cardiologist for 24 hours waiting in the emergency.

Yes that is 24 hours. The doctor put in an order for tests but waited all day and the next afternoon they had No record of test orders.

Cardiac patient given Caffeine coffee while being watched for blood pressure. A Joke of a hospital.

Medicine denial

I have not been able to get any pain meds. I fell.

Twice. I continue to rotate motrin and tylenol as well as icing my hand and my leg and it barely takes the edge off. For some reason, no one wants to give me pain meds. Even 10 pills or fewer.

I just want enough to get me by until my next appt. I am not a drug addict, and it is very unlikely that I would become one. I asked urgent care. They told me to call my PCP or my hand surgeon.

Neither would give pain meds. They said they had to see me first. Then I fell again. I have a very large hematoma on my leg and I re-injured my hand.

(hurts to type this)! Went to the ER at Macomb and they would not give me meds either. The only way I sleep at night is to take cannabis gummies! And I certainly don't want to take those during the day.

I can't understand why the ER would not give me meds. It is crazy. Now I have to do another video apt follow up, and I'm hoping that will work! I even called customer service, but to no avail.

It's crazy! I always liked HF; I even worked there for 15 years. But this, well, it makes me feel like they think I'm some kind of drug addict for asking for a few pain pills! They have no idea how bad my pain is.

Although nothing is broke, it hurts worse than I've ever felt! It is very hard to understand why they can't give me anything except lidocaine patches which barely work!

Lack of care, being lied to by staff, staff blaming other departments for lack of care and information. No pain management

It was the worst experience I have ever had at any medical facility. The degree of disrespect and neglect was beyond acceptable.

I will be sharing my terrible experience with Henry Ford health system Plymouth ER and Henry Ford health system detroit.

I will be contacting my law team with the details of this experience. I don't want anyone else to be treated like I was.

Henry Ford Hides Behind Care Experience Office

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Henry Ford Healthy System informed me that the "Care Experience Office" is the most powerful department and I am NOT ALLOWED to even contact corporate directly to complain about the inefficiency of that Care office. The doctors I saw were sexist to me and disgusting about my disability.

The entire system is set up so you cannot complain about anything when mistreated. The medical center I went to had secretaries promoting their Christian faith at the counter and telling me about their Christian music as if it were a religious hospital. I never got the tests I needed and have spent months dealing with that disgusting Care Experience Office to no avail. They act like the odSavomafia to patients, keeping corporate uninformed about how poorly patients are treated.

Meanwhile I received no care for my possible life threatening condition. Disgusting method of treating patients with this corporate shield department called Care Exoerience.

Henry Ford protects their doctors over their patients and set up this "department" so patients cannot complaint to corporate even when that same department is abusive to patients. Disgusting.

Diagnosis?

I was diagnosed w/asthma 3 yrs ago by primary care dr. He’s been my dr for years and until reny had no reason to doubt him After a recent visit he accused me of faking a disease he diagnosed me with and has been treating me for.

To take it a step further every time I’ve been in to emergency iiI’ve been treated for an asthma attack, by his peers w/in that hospital aaa well as other hospitals. I have reached out to them for assistance and a patient advocate contacted me and was of little use.I requested she refer this to the director so this can be resolved ASAP. That was almost 3weeks ago. They are able to verify my visits w/in their facilities and I can provide proof from other providers.

I don’t have a reason to lie and this dr faile me in so many ways. I will not use his name for legal reasons: but I need help as I have never been in this situation before. My job is requesting paperwork or they will fire me. Three years of using nebulizer, rescue and control inhalers all prescribed by a dr.

All the drs I’ve seen a free w/the diagnosis yet I’ve heard nothing.

I live alone and have no family in the states as I grew up in Canada. That being said I need help I have reached out several groups and agencies and I am waiting to hear back ; but this needs to be addressed because I can’ t afford to be fired!
