Heat USA
Misleading
Heat USA is now dropping perfectly good oil companies and sending their customers to Skaggs and Walsh. They are owned by a relative of theirs.
I got a call yesterday telling me my oil company was no longer participating with Heat USA (which I found out was on the part of the Heat group) and they were giving me Skaggs and Walsh. I couldn't understand this because I belonged to Elite fuel for years and were very happy with their prices and their service. (I also found that Skaggs and Walsh was charging 20 cent more per gallon for their oil when I checked with them yesterday.
Upon research I find the Heaneys own both Heat USA and Skaggs and Walsh. Just steering work to their relatives.

HEAT USA is nothing what they claim to be. Heat USA represents itself as a Consumer Advocate Company.
Supposedly servicing it's paying member, getting you the lowest price on fuel and heating equipment. Not true, don't believe it. Go see their website. Do they list oil prices you should be paying?
No. Call their customer service. Ask them what you will be paying. They won't tell you.
Heat USA says, trust us to get you a lower price. Don't do it. You'll be paying so much more. I paid close to a $1.00 more per gallon for heating oil.
Heat USA says they'll save you hundreds of dollars on Heating equipment.
I paid close to $2,000.00 more as a member of Heat USA. So to all my fellow homeowners please do your homework, be your own consumer advocate and you will see why I say "Stay Away from Heat USA."

Skaggs Walsh is a rip off over charging me almost a dollar a gallon for oil. Also, there services are expensive.
The staff are nasty. Through hard times they just think of their money.
Terrible company to do business with-everyone I dealt with had a bad attitude-nasty people and high prices- from truck drivers to office people-thugs driving the vehicles and doing the service and nasty people handling the customer service end of things
Got a call from Christopher from Skaggs telling me that there have been issues with Elite and customers weren't pleased with them. NONSENSE!!!They are a good company and ALWAYS helped me whenever I had a problem.
Day and night they were there for me.
Christopher from Skaggs has a lot of nerve making it seem like Elite did something wrong. I'm staying with Elite!
