Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada - Never received the prize I was supposed... - Image 2

I had purchased 5 tickets for the heart and stroke lottery in 2018.

I got an email saying I may be a winner shortly after they announced the winners.

The link from that email took me to the Winners list where I see my name twice for $25 each.

I never heard from them for a long time so I contacted them by email.

They took a long time to reply - I had to send many emails to get their response.

Finally I get their email saying the winner was not me but someone else with the same name.

Luckily I retained the lottery ticket so I sent them a pic of my ticket.

After that no reply... I sent several email ..

even contacted their complains dept. - got an email from them saying they have forwarded my complaint to the respective department and that was it.

After waiting a long time I sent them email reminders but they would not reply to my emails.

I contacted BBB and opened a complaint with them -

BBB Complaint Case# 141**** (Ref#32-7815-****009-20-500)

They said they would contact the business and wait for their response.

I just got an email from BBB saying that even after several attempts to contact Heart&;;;;;;Stroke they did not get any response from the company so my case is closed.

So I am left with no resolution to this scam.

I call it them out as a scam because if you see the pictures I uploaded it will be clear that the winning numbers were indeed mine and they are blatantly denying that.

Loss:
$50

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: watch out if you do end up purchasing one of their tickets
