More Pain Than Its Worth

I am recovering from major surgery that has left me physically disabled and in severe pain. I used to be an athelite and now am homebound and require use of walker or cane...all documented. I have been out of work for months as well. My HealthPartners physician refuses to address pain in any way. I'm being unfairly labeled as some kind of drug seeker even though Im open to all treatment options. I have been forced to take otc ibuprofin at such high levels that my liver function is bad. I also have anemia that is being ignored. I had PT for 8 weeks and was told I'm done though minimal progress was made. Im really hurting and need compassionate and experienced medical care. It took 2 mos to get an appt at Health Partners Pain Clinic/Neuroscience Center. By then I was in such bad shape that I fell done the stairs while struggling with a quad cane on way to my appt. As a result, I was 15 minutes late. Health Partners Pain Clinic made me wait 35 min in lobby only to tell me that Dr Skakel is running behind and wont see me. I was told I will need to wait another month to be seen! I told the receptionist that I'd be dead by then and she laughed at me. Health Partners needs better options to address pain and disabling medical conditions. This pain clinic is not helpful! Also - just because you ask for help does NOT make you a drug addict or criminal and patients should be treated with compassion not contempt. Very disappointed.
