Received a letter from the dispute resolution department, but I already faxed the documents. The letter was dated June 20 and I wanna make sure that they received my fax. Can someone call me at 410-271-****.
They freeze your benefits at a whim.
I tried to use my Health Equity Flex card to pick up an Rx and it was declined. I paid OOP and checked my card when I got home.
They said they needed more documentation from two different doctors visits. One was from 2019yes 2019! It was my OB/GYN yearly check up. And the other was from an Urgent Care when I had Covid this year.
I sent the EOB from my insurance and they are still requesting more info. I dont know what else they could need!!! The guy I spoke with said they needed to make sure the charges were eligible. I told him my doctors office doesnt sale dresses and shoes, but he does do Pap smears, vaginal exams and breast exams and I was under the impression they were covered!!
I told him the Covid testing, office visit, and exam were also something I must have mistakenly assumed were medical procedures. He said they would review it and get back to me.
Meanwhile they have $1700 of my money tied up. I WILL NOT DO A FLEX ACCOUNT AGAIN!!

Verified Reviewer | Clifton, New JerseyDoes Not Release Funds Under Their Care
On or about January 24, 2022 I requested a reimbursement for a medical visit copay. This was ignored.
The next day I needed to pay for a medical device so I tried to use their HSA debit visa card which was declined. I wrote to them again asking them why it was declined. Their website clearly shows that there was enough funds.
I have written to them Five times and have had no meaningful response. I received two emails stating that my visa was declined which was already obvious.
1/ they seem happy to accept money into their system but do not pay it back out
2/ they do not respond to messages
3/ they block the use of your funds which directly interferes with healthcare
They have a long history of misleading advertising, non-responsiveness and out-right lying if you look at a review I did over a year ago.
- Unresponsive to emails
- Poor customer service
- Lost funds
Preferred solution: I would expect: reimbursement for payments already submitted, a visa card that works, a response from them explaining why I have been ignored, an apology to The University of Vermont Health Network and myself regarding poor service at a minimum.
User's recommendation: Ask you HR Not to use this company. It is very bad for the employee (you) in that you don't get to use the benefits and they are unresponsive to queries.
