I want to get a class action lawsuit started against all of these crooks. I'm not sure how to go about it.

I think if there was enough of us, maybe we could get a class action suit going on a contingency. If any one has any ideas or suggestions, email me at HBIscam@***.com. they scammed me out of a lot of money, repairs were more than we thought and they charged me rent when they couldn't get a loan. I think we can go after the people not just the company.

One of them personally kept money from me. Looking forward to hearing from others.

I had trouble with them also. BUT I did get my house...

eventually I worked directly with the investor and he was caught in the middle of their fraudulent work also. I was very disappointed because I ended up paying a lot of money out of pocket but it was the only way to get my house. The investor was very kind and worked with me anyways. I got my lawyer together with his lawyer and we worked out a owner finance deal which is working out well.

I gave HBI the 2500 then 5k and then they no longer answered their phones! everything was disconnected. They just disappeared.

It was awful!! horrible horrible people!!

HBI / Home Buyer Investor Group charged my client $2,500 to provide a loan. My client was to locate a home, and to pay 15% to HBI plus 9.9% interest to finance the home. HBI was to purchase the home and then sell it to my client.

A home was found,my client spent $900 on inspections, paid $1,000 in Earnest Money and then Flavio (loan Officer)with HBI failed to produce a loan and after 2 closing date extensions, the seller refused to extend further --- the deal died. 6 wks later, Barry Power and Vivien Pulled this scam again on another house--- another $900 inspection,buyer paid HBI 5% /$7,250 & requested an extension & then 3 days from closing, requested a 3 week closing

We signed with them in January 17, 2014. We also put a $2500 consultant fee down with the understanding that they WOULD GET US IN A HOME.

No questions asked this was a fact we would have a home. with the minimum of $5000 down. After 5 months we found a home with the guidelines. It took them a month to start doing anything.

By 6/11 my Realtor was calling me to get a hold of Flavio because he would no longer answer her or the title companies calls. They also switched buyers names 4xs in a matter of one week! We were forced to do 3 extensions. Flavio also told my Realtor she was not to be telling me of the issues that were holding the process up.

Finally the TITLE COMPANY terminated the contract because they believed it was FRAUDULENT! Also there were 3 occasions we had drove to the home to check on it, not one time was it locked! We also told Flavio & Berry every time we drove out, (it was unlocked for 60 days that we know of) they said it cannot be locked, even though I locked it every time. The last time someone had stolen the restroom vanity!

At one point Berry even told me we had closed on the home, and to begin turning on the utilities!(at this point they tried ya blame my Realtor for the termination of the contract, and said they would only pay the second appraisal if we didn't use her) (we still did) We tried looking at a second home where they were supposed to pay for the appraisal, their guy didn't even step foot in the home before saying it didn't match the guidelines. The person whom was assisting us with the find of the home this time Tyllin and her assistant Vivian gave us the Analogy of I can't promise you anything, I can promise to go to a meeting and get KILLED ON THE WAY, there are NO guarantees in life! They also said the way the funding for the property goes is the contractor does not get paid for ANYTHING until 100% of the work is finished. Forcing us to use their guys (who charged an arm and a leg).

Later he let it slip they pay in increments of $5000. I told him this is not what you told us and he denied it. What a great representation of your company. At this point they have stopped answering our calls and emails.

Originally they were name IBF income based funding, they received an F with the BBB.

they later changed their name. They told us 3weeks ago they wanted us to go up there to speak to Berry about a refund for the $2500 and never called back and are not answering their phones.

I have been robbed from this company.HomeBuyerInvestorGroup. James Green in San Antonio.

Contacted me with them, he said that he does not work for this company.

Anybody know where to report this people. I need people that I can trust.

I CONTACTED THIS COMPANY TO GET A HOME LOAN ABOUT 3 MONTH AGO, I PUT $3500.00 FOR A SUPPOSED 5K DOWN PROGRAM, WE STARTED SEARCHING FOR A PROPERTY OF THEIR CRITERIA, BUT THEY NEVER ACCEPT ANY OF THE PROPERTIES THAT WE SEARCHED, THEY JUST SAID EXCUSES, EVENTUALLY WE GET TIRED OF THEIR GAME AND ASKED FOR OUR MONEY BACK, BUT NOW THEY JUST REFUSE TO REFUND OUR MONEY.

i have been waiting to they robbed me blind to..i think we all should do something about this i am a student these people should be caught soon. And they owe all of us. They took 2500 from me.

The non refundable consultant fee of $2500 is one thing.No consulting was provided.

Putting money towards $5000 down payment, submitting $400 for appraisal fee, $1000 for earnest money and option fee money and no deal was settled..that money should be returned to the customer. Ultimatley the deal was not accepted by HBI.

ok fine and dandy. Where is my money? Office location is closed.

website is closed who would be the Chief in charge to issue the refunds to customers who gave them money for deals that did not go through? I can't find if there is another home office or contact for HBI to assist us.
