Hass Associates - very skilled and toxic scam brokers
This company starts to target you by phone, proposing investment services. Their site www.hassassociates.com looks credible. They use a very professionnal-like pitch, and have a very skilled communication approach, chasing you up on the phone, but always extremely politely, asking whether they disturb you or whether this is the right time to speak... Once you have signed the so-called "account creation form", they will propose you to invest a reasonably small amount first, to give you a quick return with a high leverage (in my case they started with FORD Motor Co). The next step is to propose you not to get the money back, but to reinvest it right away in another "golden opportunity" (it was called Allied Minerals, supported by another good looking website www.alliedminerals.com). Convinced after this first success, one would go without hesitation. Then it starts: they will ask you for cash to invest, then cash to reach a minimum threshold on the ground that the (illusory) customer, with whom they allegedly planned to make a joint portfolio with your own asset, has gone bankrupt; then cash to pay the clearing house, then they will pretend they have negotiated an even better price and ask you for additional cash for the clearing house, on the ground that this fee is proportional to the sale amount, etc... etc... etc... Always a good reason to ask you for cash, without letting you see a penny back. But whenever you ask more details about the alleged investment they propose you, they just beat around the bush without giving you any tangible information, with cover of a "non disclosure agreement" that prevents them - how unlucky - to tell you any actually valuable information. But what beats all, is that they pretend having an "asset recovery service" which is supposed to help you get back part of your investment. But guess what? to start this recovery process, you will have to pay an entry ticket... This "company" is a total scam and a mere robbery. Stay away from them.

Hass Associates - boiler room scam
The company (http://hassassociates.com/) is supposedly set in Hong Kong and Madrid, cold calling and selling fake shares to clients all over the world. Highly professional and knowledgeable people. Acting as investment brokers and promising profits with very realistic and concrete investment scenarioes, however they keep asking for higher investments until the victim is not willing to raise more capital. They build trust and follow up their victims via emails and phone calls from several internal departments. Very persistent and persuasive without threatening. Have been selling shares for a fake company called Allied Minerals http://alliedminerals.com/ - - - -
