Combustion motor replaced again

Just today,3rd combustion motor replaced. Cant afford to keep doing this. Its not like this stove runs 24/7,we use the stove for 3-4 months a year.can not use the stove at night when going to bed,you cant fall asleep with all the noise combustion motor makes.we were going to purchase the newest stove with the digital top but not going to pour $5000 for stove thats noisey. Just shelled out $288 to replace motor.dont mind paying the labor but to eat the cost of a motor every 2 years,or in reality 12 months(dont use it spring, summer or fall really not acceptable. Combustion Blower Very Noisy

I have had the Harman Accentra free standing pellet stove for over 14 years. It has been very reliable and worked well. After 12 years, the combustion blower motor started squealing and was replaced. The replacement motor had been redesigned but worked o.k. for a month or so. It became so noisy, it had to be replaced again. This one also was quiet for a while and then became very noisy also. Makes a rattling/growling type noise. Very annoying in your living room. Dealer said Harmon is aware of the problem but has made no indication that they are going to do anything about it. Dealer has ordered another one, but they are on back-order. If this doesn't resolve the noise, I am afraid I must go to a different type of heat source. I am very disappointed because I always thought Harmon was the top-of-the-line stove and always promoted them.

User's recommendation: If Harmon can correct this issue, I will fully promote them again.

Pellet stove help

My pellet stove stopped working in end of the May 2021, contacted company that I purchased stove from. Waited 2 months to get first parts in, stove was not fixed properly. The company ordered new parts after waiting approximately one month, they replaced parts that did not fix the stove. Six months latter, the stove is still not working properly.

Problems w/pellet stove

I purchased an Accentra 52i pellet stove on 3/6/18., I've had it for less than a year, it was a show room floor model. During this January during a real cold spell the stove stopped working. I read the owners manual and called the company I purchased the stove from R&D Cross and they said that the stove needed cleaning. T he stove should not need to be cleaned so soon. None of the other stoves I've had in the past needed to be cleaned so soon after purchase. I was told and I saw that the stove was cleaned before delivery. I tried calling the company but their number referred me back to the dealer. The dealer can't service the stove until March or April. So what did I spend over $5000. for a stove I can't use when its freezing outside and I need to use it. I'm really not satisfied with the stoves performance. Sometimes it starts right away other times I have to try and start it two or three times before it starts. Sometimes it won't start at all. Did you charge me over $5000. for a defective pellet stove??

Positioning of control panel

Just had a Harman XXV installed by our local supplier after seeing our Friends older model. Sad Who was the complete IDIOT which decided to move the control panel to the REAR CORNER of the M/C?. As it installed in the fireplace void, I have to get on my hands and knees with a flashlight to get access, and to see the controls which aint funny when you are 80 years young! Two other stupid things are they have put a smoked glass lid on it so that I have to use the flashlight to see the level of pellets and we ordered a WHITE one but the cables are BLACK. As a pellet burner it is OK but they need to get more customer friendly Sad

The Harman Accentra Insert Pellet Stove

In 2008 i purchased The Harman Accentra Pellet stove insert. I paid over 4K for it. The stove had many service calls during the 6 year warranty period which included replacing the almost entire insides due to a squealing noise. Now the stove won't operate if there is a pellet or part of a pellet under the lid and there is a lid that has a lip that the pellets can be caught under. This is a recent problem and there is no "fix" for it. The Harman company which I contacted will not offer any fix or standby this product at all, they throw it to the Heartline Stove Shop in Jaffrey NH where I purchased it. They offered $400 as a trade in and will sell it for $2400. This is unacceptable. Do not purchase one of these. It is a poor design and the company will not stand by it.

Agreed. Going through the same thing with my P35i. My local dealer is dragging his feet and I've had 3 service calls on my latest problem.
