Will never do business with Harkins A/C ever again. Literally been a nightmare dealing with this company and they only care about your money. From workers showing up 2 to 3 hours late and canceled appointments with only a 1 to 2 hour notice. Just very unprofessional and didn't even remotely care about my precious time of having to *** from work. Owner Mr. Adolph told me he would take care of everything and don't worry about anything at all but around 3 weeks later after this subpar vent was put up, wrote me a letter saying I owed them money. Still not happy with this vent because it doesn't blow as cold as my other vents so now I have to pay more money for another AC company to fix their mistakes. Installers came to install ductwork/ac vent in July but told me I had to spend more money on getting the register framed. No one told me this in the estimate & never mentioned this beforehand. But how convenient they had a guy who knew how to do the frame work so I had to pay him also. Should of went elsewhere at that point. Then a tech come out to install the duct work & cut the opening for the ac vent but he did a horrible job. Had openings around the vent because he cut it too large. So now they send another guy to patch up the ceiling but he was always late or either said he couldn't make it 1 or 2 hours before the appointment time. A job that should of took 1 day ended up taking an entire week to finish. Me having to leave work early or coming to work later wasn't even acknowledged by this company. The customer service was nonexistent and they only cared about the money when the owner said he would take care of everything & not to worry about anything at all. Even hung up in my face when talking to him(have proof on a recorded phone call). Threatened me about having outstanding debt and putting a lien on my house because Mr. Adolph wanted me to pay full price for a subpar quality job that I'm still not happy with and hiring another AC company to fix their mistakes.

Harkins LIED to our warranty company after drilling *** in our AC unit outside. Called them to add freon as air wasn't cooling enough. We wake up 2 days later and AC not cooling AT ALL!! All 8 pounds of freon drained out of our outside unit from "mysterious" new hole, wrapped in electrical tape....come to find out, they have a reputation for this kinda stuff. Stay AWAY!!!!!!! FYI, Thomas was the technician they sent out. Will lie through his teeth to get your money. They are currently under investigation!!

Wish I would of read your review before doing business with this company. I don't trust them at all either. They dropped the ball too many times but expect the consumer to pay full price for below average work.


Yes!! Tom and Mr.

Thomas are both very deceitful people they will lie about the amount of freon that is supposed to go in your unit!!

And if you have American home shield watch out for lil Tom.. He will always say that basically you didn't take care of your unit so American home shield will not cover you.

Harkins AC and Heating

Beware. They like to recommend family members for other work. The problem is that Harkins has a decent rep for AC work. And they use that rep to get other family members work. The family members are lousy. I don't know what the deal is, but they left my brother's house a mess. Terrible work, if they finish at all. Show up hung over. Always on the phone. And slow. Don't even think about them returning to complete a final walk-through punchlist. Forget about chasing them down...the folks at Harkins will not give out contact info.

I agree 100%. They always come late without notice so I have to call behind them or they cancel the appointment within 1 or 2 hours the day of. Don't trust this company at all.
