2011 Chevy Cruze- The Death Car!

Lisa Hobbs Sep 29 (10 days ago) to mary.barra, newstip, BWilson Good morning Ms. Barra, My name is Lisa Hobbs. I purchased a Pre Owned Certified 2011 Chevy Cruze with approximately 73, 000 for $17,000 from Hardy Chevrolet in Dallas, Georgia in May 2014. If it was Certified pre owned was inspecting the rotors and brakes not a part of the inspection? Within the first week of my purchase I began to have problems. problem# 1- When pressing the brakes the car made this horrible grinding noise. I call Hardy Chevrolet and was advised to bring the car in. Per Hardy Chevrolet the car needed new Rotors. So they replaced ALL the rotors. Problem#2: May 2015 I was driving to work and the car overheated 3 times. I had the car towed to Hardy Chevrolet and was told by a technician based on the diagnostic testing I needed a new Reservoir and Hose I paid approx. 100.00 to have the car repaired. Problem#3 The car began to run rough and the Stabilitrak light kept coming on. So I dropped the car off at Steve Rayman Chevrolet and was informed that the car had a recall for the Stabilitrak. Steve Rayman did replace the Stabilitrak sensor. Problem #4 I am attempting to leave work for the day and my car will not go forward. So again I have the car towed to Steve Rayman. The next day I received a call from Steve Rayman saying I need a new Transmission. I ask how much does it cost he gave me these very high prices. So searched around for a cheaper price because I can not afford what Steve Rayman was charging. I found a mechanic that also found me a rebuilt transmission. He charged $1250.00. I paid to have the transmission repaired. problem#5 August 23, 2017 The Cruze started overheating again and my husband looked under the hood and discovered that the coolant was leaking out. So he added coolant to the car. the next day I drove the car again and it overheated. I then dropped the car off with Hardy Chevrolet on August 24 , 2017 and explained what had happen. I was informed that Hardy would perform a diagnostic test to try and determine what the problem could be. I received a call from a technician name Jason informing me that the car's Water Outlet was bad and the car needed a new hose and it would cost $226.00. I paid for the repair. 2 days later I am having the same problem with the car overheating and new problems are now present. White smoke was coming out of the exhaust and coolant and oil are now mixing together. I called Hardy back and they told me to bring the car back. So I paid 70.00 to have it towed back to Hardy. I received a call saying that I need a new motor. I ask the technician Why? He said because the car overheated. Now, I paid for the repair to stop the overheating and it overheated 2 days after I got the car back from Hardy. I then requested a supervisor and explain to him my concerns. He then inform me that he would have another technician to take a look at the car. Mike Roberts ( Service Manager ) then called me back and said that he agrees that I do need a motor . I said to him I paid you all to repair the overheating. It explanation was I have a lot of miles on the car. Now this is the only form of transportation that I have. So i drive the car to work, vacations etc. I also maintain the car by keeping the oil changed. So I then reached out to General Motors and was escalated to a Senior Adviser Javon Kerkendall and informed him of the situation. He tried to reach out to Hardy's Mike Roberts via email and according to Javon he was not getting a response.Javon informed me that there was a third party warranty on the car and that he could not see the information regarding the warranty. So he told me to call Mike Roberts and inform him of the warranty. I did call and Mr. Roberts said that there is no warranty that General Motors was LYING. I then call Javon and informed him what Mr. Roberts stated. Javon told me to reach out to the BBB on Hardy Chevrolet. I recived a call from the general manager of Hardy Chevrolet and was told that he would try and put me in a new car because the Chevy Cruze is not any good. He said we will give you 2000.00 for the car as a trade. So I said well whats going to happen to the remaining $10, 000. He said we will add it to the loan. I told him that I can not afford to do that. So I was told that there is nothing else that they can do for me. So now I am stuck with a none operable car that I am still required to make 404.00 payments per month.Let me back up a little. I also was provided the names of 3 prior owners of the car by Mr. Kerkandall. I was only able to get in contact with William Kimmel who traded the car into Hardy and was told that he traded because it was overheating. Oh did I mention that Hardy put a new water pump in the car in 2014 , 2 months prior to me purchasing it and a year later it overheated on me. Go figure that. Till this day no one General Motors are Hardy can tell me why this car keeps overheating. What happen to General Motors standing by its product? My grandfather would only drive Chevy's. because they where so dependable. He has passed own. If only he new that something he has held to so such high standards is not that at all. Oh the last receipt that I have from Hardy Chevrolet does not state the reason for the overheating but that i need a new Motor and that declined the repair. So, once again no one has told me why this car keeps overheating. Just that I have high miles on the car.But what was the problem with it overheating when it did not have high miles?Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. My Question : Is this a manufacturing problem with the Cruze or did Hardy take my money and did not diagnosis the problem correctly to cause the overheating. I have included General Motors, Hardy Chevrolet and channel 2 news
