I reached out to Hardwood Specialists by phone last month. I had a badly eaten floor by termites.

I spoke with the Salesperson -- Ken Zand. He came by and looked at the floor. What I liked best was the options he gave me. The floor was so gone he suggested installing a brand new floor on top of it.

The old floor would be the new subfloor. Damion and Chris did the work and were amazing to us the whole time. Ken communicated what was going on daily through text messages and emails. I am very impressed with the work.

The only thing I didn't like was the price. But what can you do.

Termites had eaten under my floor and the floor was slowly beginning to fall in. Ken Zand came out a took a look.

Gave me two options. Replaced the floor or repair all the bad boards once the floor was sanded. Ken said the best bet was to replace the floor. So we did, reluctantly.

The price came in a little higher than we would have liked. But the crew of Damion and Chris really did a great job! It took a few days longer than quoted.

But now when we walk on the floor we don't feel like we are going to fall in. Thanks to Kenneth Zand and Terry for checking in on the crews and keeping everything going.

Total disappointment dealing with Kenneth Zand ( Salesperson ) that takes no responsibility for his actions. Ken's stories and promises change like the wind and will tell you anything you would like to hear.

We have worked with many professional services over the years and have never experienced anything even close to the nightmare with Ken Zand. There is not enough space to attempt all of the frustrations that have occurred. Trust us and find a person that cares.

Ken has made several attempts to cover over many bad reviews posted on these sites but word of mouth travels fast.

My wife and I decided to remodel our home with hardwoods and decided to go with Hardwood Specialists. It was a battle from the start of the process working with Ken Zand.

Our frustration has started communication issues that stemmed from lack of follow up and a plan old I don't care attitude from Mr. Zand. Ken plainly told us in front of several others that they have 4 months of backlog work and we should be happy just to have them do the job.

I have heard nightmare stores since with this guy and some very poor quality workmanship.

I will do business somewhere else.

Ken Zand is a known *** artist and normally does not hold a job more than a few years at any establishment. Ken gravitates towards places like the current hardwood floor specialist as he uses it as cover from the past trouble created.

Poor quality of service and poor customer treatment is to say the least. Ken has one goal in mind and that is to overcharge as must as he can to collect his 20 - 25% commission and you never here from him again.

If you ever question anything about the poor service Ken will blow his top and start cursing in front of your kids, neighbors, or other clients in the showroom. This guy should not be around the public and certainly should not be around your home.

Working with Ken Zand is a experience in itself nobody deserves. From the start everything Ken does is merely a set up for overcharging and always a excuse on not following through.

You are better off finding someone honest and will offer what you are looking for and not what Ken is selling this week.

In the world of pushy salespersons this guy takes the cake for upsells - never delivering what was promised - prices always seem to change for the worst. I keep getting the same complaints from so many of our fellow contractors and clients that felt the need to warn people.

Ken Zand cannot tell the truth about anything and will say anything you want to here to make the extra dollar. Great salesman he is but only while he collects dollars and after the money is spent you get nothing.

When we worked with Ken Zand nothing went as planned and wish we would have never met him. We understand the company Hardwood specialties is a great business and I am sure employs many quality people but they were cheated when they found this clown.

Stay away from Ken Zand and his charming act. Only a acting joy at best.

Y O U Can believe this guy is out for everyone's money and that is the only thing Ken Zand is about. Be very careful with people you do not know around your home and items you value.

We have had dealing with this guy and he is dishonest, manipulative, and will do whatever he has to for the dollar behind your back.

If Ken does not get what he wants up front he will find ways to go after people behind their backs to cheat the system. In my opinion this guy should be in a business that does not deal with the direct public.
